Good to know thanks! I got a baby colocasia blue electric gecko and it was fine but then got spider mites. It got ravaged in a day. I kept one leaf and then propagate it in water again. Wish me luck!
Yoooo, thank you guys for this video!! Countless hours of searching, and this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thank You Guys For Such Beautiful Elephant Ears 😁

I saw a colocasia elepaio on Amazon form you guys and do they have stable variegation? And how big do they get and can I grow them with tropical aroids?
They have extremely stable variegation! I got mine on Etsy for $12. They grow extremely fast, need tons of water, love humidity, and require a richer more water retaining mix. They also get very large, like 6ft max large.
TRIMMING: You shouldn't trim perfectly good leaves expecting them to grow back more vibrant. This video just demonstrates how quickly they can grow back if they break. WATERING: Anthuriums do not like as much water as Colocasias. You should not let them sit in water over long periods of time.
Cutting it will not make it grow back more vibrant. We don't recommend cutting your Alocasia as we have here. We created this just as a demonstration to show how quickly a new leaf would grow back if one were lost in shipping.
Colocasias do like boggy conditions, but we'd only keep a Colocasia in a dish of water while it's young and potted. It'd do better with less water after that.

Saludos acabo de recibir mi planta de kiwi con 3 hojas hermosas que debo hacer
Nos agrada saber que los hojas se ven bien! Espero que haya tenido exito con ellas desde llegar
These guys must not be so water sensitive as alocasia ?
That's right. Colocasias prefer more water than Alocasias.
Wooooooooowww
❤❤❤👏🌱🌿

Скажите пожалуйста, вот у меня есть алоказия серебристая, если ей так обрезать стебелёк, она так же оживёт?

They can survive in wet feet?

I have an alocasia, would it work the same way if i cut it? I have one single leaf and it doesn't die or grow more leaves at all.
Go for it. Any updates?
@@davidhodgin8900 it died 😢😔
Cual colocasia es por favor
Es la Colocasia Hawaiian Punch
What is this song?
Sunset Dream by Cheel!
That was fast, lol
Hey so i just transitioned from dirt to pon and the leaves started drying/dying. Will they come back or is it a done😊
Sounds like your plant is dehydrated. Get it some more to drink. If it’s a Colocasia like in this video, they really like a lot of water.
@@wellspringgardens yeah I know. I just did it last night and it's dying thr next day! I'm thinking shock cuz its in a self watering pot
@@dabittyslayayeah, we’re kind of old school using soil and manually watering, but it works for us. Best of luck to you!
Older ones are faster about it up to 3 to 5 days.
I just did this...... 🙏 Please wish me luck lol
It’s been 2 months, how did it grow for you? I’m curious.
