That mic isn't anything all that special actually.....not even a condenser recording mic.....I have a great one of those I use for recording projects, but I don't like to use it when recording a "1 take, live" kind of situation like this. So it's just an EV Cobalt CO9 mic with a wind cover over it. Mostly, I learned enough from Bob Thacker when we mixed and mastered BEAT UP OLD PIANO, that I can finally use my Yamaha AW16-G to it's potential and get a good EQ/Dynamics/Effects situation going.... I'm still no great shakes at this engineering stuff, but doing that album took me a thousand miles in the right direction.
