Such videos are very effective provided that we all must try first to learn the basic kanjis ourselves like how to write and number of strok counts so that when we see such well prepared lectures we learn faster and correct ourselves where ever we do mistakes .I am grateful to Japanese Professors who work hard to make people like us all over world to learn their language free of cost.I remember my College days when I used to prepare for next day lecture in advance in our Hostel so that we do concentrate in class on final finish and do not disturb teacher for small queries.

I need your help .. I'm nowadays learning kanji from (( Kanji Look and Learn by #Genki )) really amazing on with workbook , but it contains only 512 kanjis ... so I need you please tell me other book or books to continue learning ??
"Kanji Look and Learn"(+its workbook) is very good to learn. About a book over 500 kanji, I do not know well. I have "KANJI IN CONTEXT"(+WORKBOOK1,2) but it does not contain writing practice. There are books for JLPT, but they seem to have no translation or less practice generally. If you have made enough progress in Japanese to study with no translation(when you finished your book you may reach that level), you could use materials for Japanese students. If you live in Japan, there are many drill books, but there are also kanji learning websites for Japanese students. eg.happylilac.net/sy-kanzi3h.html (the link is to 3rd grade). You can learn it with the aid of dictionary like "The Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary" or jisho.org/ , www.nihongo-pro.com/jp/kanji-pal/list/jlpt/grade etc. I do not know all the books on kanji for foreign learners, so there might be good books for your need. Thank you.
When a word consists of kanji and hiragana, like 見る(みる, to look), 大きい(おおきい, big), the kanji there is read in kun-reading. When a kanji is used alone, it is read either in kun-reading or on-reading, depending on the case. When a kanji is combined with another kanji(or other kanjis) and makes a compound word, like 出口(でぐち, exit), 輸出(ゆしゅつ, import), it is in many cases read in on-reading, but some are read in kun-reading. The compound word consisting of two kanji has 4 patterns: 1.On+On, 2. Kun+Kun, 3. On+Kun, 4. Kun+On. The most common case is 1. On+On, but it depends on the case which pattern it is. Generally speaking, kun-reading is the reading which tells the meaning as it is, while most of on-readings doesn't tell the meaning(of course they have meanings but it is "hidden", as it were. Reading itself doesn't tell the meaning.), so kun-reading is often used with okurigana, or alone. Therefore, it would be better to memorize each word with its reading(pronunciation) together with its meaning, then you will tell what reading it is. Even though the formal(apparent) subject of "kikoeru" is "oto/voice", we use this verb as we feel its substantial subject is the narrator him/herself like "I hear a sound/voice" or "I can hear a sound/voice".
Grammatical potential form of "kiku" is "kikeru", but we do not use "Oto wo kikeru" for "I can hear a sound" as the meaning of just the sound comes into "my" ears, in which case we use "Oto ga kikoeru". "kikeru" means like "to be able to hear(or listen)". "kiku koto ga dekiru" is almost the same meaning.
