Hi. Besides the screws on each side of the trim, I see there is a screw hole at the bottom where the logo is. Some similar other parts dont have it, there is a clips like part there. 2023 G20 LCI does not have a screw hole under the steering wheel to fit the part for example. is it because it is LCI, will it fit to a 2019 F40 ?
Hello, BMW used screws on some models, on others clips, we couldn’t find a pattern, on the G30 for example they used clips, on the G20 screws. 🤷🏻♂️ you could try but i think it won’t fit. My best bet would be to go for the G8X M carbon trim.
@paddleshifterz Thank you very much for the answer. I am going crazy on this. My friend bought me a trim as a present, but it is with screws which my G20 does not have. When i checked my friends pre-lci G20, it is also with clips like my G20 LCI. I check some videos online for G30, it is also with clips.

@@paddleshifterz the back neck of the m performance steering wheel has Alcantara which i thought was the back of cover. My bad. Do you have to take air bag off to install the cover?

@@VHyttinen Yes and no. BMW doesn't offer the glossy trim officially for this vehicle. They offer the structured/dry carbon version, with 1x1 twill carbon. Although the one from the G80 M3, should fit to the i4 as well. That uses the 2x2 twill. We actually have one in stock if you wish to try them, we could send them out to you.
@@paddleshifterz ah, sorry for being unclear. please let me clarify: I’ve ordered my i4 M50 with the factory carbon fiber interior trim, and I would like to increase the amount of carbon fiber in the cabin with this wheel trim. I was wondering if the weaves are similar.
All good, understood. You have the glossy trim right? If so, that should be a 2x2 twill, but BMW officially only offers 1x1 twill for this vehicle and not in a glossy finish. But the ones from the G80 and G82 should work fine, those have the same finish and pattern. 😊

Ahh i see. Yes, you need to take the airbag off.

Yes, it is also available for the i4. (In alcantara+carbon or leather+carbon.)
