Is the mesh gerbil proof as so many people have given mixed opinions/answers on this? I am making there gerbilarium out of wood and glass and wanted to line the inside walls with the wire but am not sure if they will get out or No?? Please help?????
brighitt correa x yes two gerbils they are social animals so best kept in pairs or more. Gerbils are more lively and take naps day and night so your more likely to see them and have fun playing with them as hamsters usually come out in the evening.
Most gerbils have to be housed on their own. Only because they are social animals like mice and rats ect. Hamsters are solitary because they will fight to death. None is better. It is a preference. However,some gerbils like mine, like to be housed on their own for certain reasons. :)

Not necessarily straight away. Like with most things, introducing new gerbils to one another can take time. If you have an older gerbil who's alone, try to get one or two younger gerbils (of the same sex, obviously) to introduce to your gerbil. I recommend doing the split cage method for introductions (if you Google it there are tons of helpful sites online that will explain this in detail). Make sure that the gerbils all get along well together before moving them into the same living space.
Thank you and i bought two younger gerbils and put them all in a play pen , I had my glove incase they would fight but they didn't! And i put them in their actuall cage all together and in the morning today they where all grooming eachover 😀😀😀

Your sizes on cages are way off
