Wow, I always wandered why my grandmother put water in milk jug and stored it. She preferred spring water. I actually remember her taking us as children, to actual real spring to get water. Wow , she lived to be 98 in her right state of mind.

I go to concerts and raves a lot, and usually I would sip water periodically throughout the show. But I went to this one all day festival and I drank the whole bottle of water within a few minutes. Surprisingly I felt very hydrated the whole rest of the show. I didn't even need another bottle until the very end, my body was feeling very satisfied! I felt cooler and more regulated than usual. Now I always just drink enough before hand.

In bodybuilding you have to drink 3 or 4 litres of water per day. It's said to be healthy and important.
And in yoga you don't have to drink so much.
    Confusion all the way.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Ayurveda found me about a year ago, since I have been trying to find balance through diet, herbs, massage, yoga and lifestyle. I have been studying connective tissue and working with re hydrating the connective tissue to gain flexibility. I have been trying to precisely hydrate and monitor the results. I have started with drinking 70 ounces of water a day which is half of my body weight in ounces. As I continue on my journey of finding balance in my lifestyle I sometimes indulge in an alcoholic or caffinated beverage. I have heard in the past if you drink 12 ounces of coffee you should drink 24 ounces of water to to balance. My question is- should I compensate the de hydrating effects of these and drink more water on the days I am consuming these things according to Ayurveda.

This is very interesting and explains why the tea I drink at my friend's house always tastes so much better than the tea at my house, even though we are using the same brand of tea. My friend uses a copper-lined pitcher to store her drinking water. Time to buy a copper vessel and investigate this science further. :D

When it comes to drinking water should one drink half their body weight in ounces? If I weight 150 lbs should I be drinking 75 ounces of water a daily? I fill my gallon glass brown jugs with water and let them set a day or so before drinking it.

This is a very interesting video to watch. I'm quite fascinated and this is good to know. Still, at the same time when I work out is this to say that I only drink water when I'm thirsty? Not constantly preventing the feeling of thirst?
It is an interesting point to hear that one who constantly drinks water (me) gets imbalances and brain swelling...and then not drinking water builds up sodium (almost like a withdrawal...?) causes headache, might explain my more recent frequent headaches

Please understand, scientists can try to understand the truth, while a yogi can point it out. Furthermore, this has nothing to do with what Sathguru has said. The facts belong Yoga Science since ancient times. In this ignorant world we need a person like Sadhguru to explain this knowledge to the outside world.

Don't get me wrong, I totally support the notion of water having memory, and treating it well matters, but does it really affect that severely?

This guy has charisma. I dig him. But water is water. H2O. Very simple. If you change the molecular structure of water, it is no longer water. It can become contaminated with other things, so that's no good. I mean, what truly scientifically observed ways (and I mean totally confirmed by the full rigors of the scientific method) can the molecular structure of water change and a) still be water and b) somehow be different in a way that is damaging to humans?
