This is really cool! This was before the heavy makeup and tattoos. Theres something about the early lunachicks era (1988-1992) thats really special and cool to me. I wish more footage like this came out.
Aww they looked so young and fresh faced back in the day! (Although they are still gorgeous & amazing) Wow Theo looks so different with her hair darker, and Im so used to seeing them all with so much more ink! Thanks for sharing, love this band!
Wow what a trip! Honestly, I don't know a thing about the lunachicks, but I went to school with Theo (had a few classes with her, but we definitely weren't friends or anything like that)... She was always beautiful, but kind of intimidating. This interview is so funny because I was in that English class (Ms. Weiner) with her, LOL!! :-)
these comments are so sweet. the drummer is becky wreck and she left the band after five years. she was a junkie/alcoholic and a mess and thats why she didnt last and thats why she was late to the interview. she wasnt holding the camera. :) she has been sober for 11 years, lives in L.A. and is in a long term relationship with myself.
Greatest band from the LES at the time of this video!! Met them all on the L train in 1989, riding with their gear to WillyB. They actually told me, "We're the Lunachicks!" So frickin' cute, I fell immediately, like a thousand years ago.

I was just going to make that same comment. That I didn't see her but KNEW she was there at the time, then I got one lovely glimpse of her, and them blammo, she's off camera again. I kept looking for her. And she's always out of the vids - so it's hard to get any good clips of her! :(
i totally remember those videos. I remember this trio of fat guys who looked like a fat ZZTop band they were called mamoth, or something like that. it was hilarious!
