Hi Austin. Firstly, I have to say thanks to you since I find that the video is super helpful to my English pronunciation. And the only thing I'm looking for now is another video about the vowels. You're doing so well
Thankyou soo much I am from India and I couldn't understand this topic before watching this video but after watching this I understand very well and get a confident in this topic thankyou ❤❤❤❤
I'm pleased you included /ts/ as a sound in English. I've always been thinking that if English has no alveolar affricate, what is the sound in words like "pizza" and "mozzerella"?
@@aaronodonoghue1791 Not to mention the ‘dr’ in words like drill, and the ‘tr’ in words like train. They do exist in the IPA, they just aren’t listed in the video.
But why examples in russian? I don't even know english properly and you expect me to know russian, you could have used easier languages like spanish or italian
I'm studying to be an English teacher and this explanation truly helps a lot, it's so simple! Thx
Glad you found it useful!
Thank you very much! I've a final exam in 3 days. This video helps me a lot.

should there not be a /dz/ sound too? Like in words such as "adze" and "podzol", and even any plural word ending in "-ds" like "beds"?

You should read hindi . They stole these sounds from there grammar.
I think you mean phonology? And are you saying that they “stole these sounds” as a bad thing?
