Big cats cousins in Africa and beyond regularly practice this act. The young adolescent doesn't seem interested possibility because the prey is fighting back and intimidating the young stray.

I must disagree - by all appearances the cat is LOVING this, and he only extends his paw when the bird retreats, in a 'hey, come back and do that some more!' intent. Sure he got irritated now and then when the beak was a little too close for comfort, but if the cat had a REAL problem with it, he wouldn't just be rolling about. He'd be growling, hissing, and/or attacking the bird. Which he isn't. Plus, toward the end of the video, the cat even starts to enjoy the beak, trying to lean into it as if he were being scratched. I've had my bunny (not caged, has a room to herself) for 5 years and she is my world and even I call her dumb and stinky and we joke about eating her. But none of it is true because she is very important to me and when i feel suicidal, she's always here to comfort me ❤️

You didn't notice how cool the cat was being. Sure he got irritated now and then when the beak was a little too close for comfort, but if the cat had a REAL problem with it, he wouldn't just be rolling about. He'd be growling, hissing, and/or attacking the bird. Which he isn't. Plus, toward the end of the video, the cat even starts to enjoy the beak, trying to lean into it as if he were being scratched. I found the video rather endearing. If you didn't, fine, but don't expect others to have the miserable outlook you do. :/

Mia Porterfield I think it's more why acknowledge a troll/stupid comment. I love my cats dearly, but call them dumb/stupid when they do things that's not in a cats nature like not chase a mouse or in this case, get along with a bird.
