    Hello good sir thank you for this great content. I have the same motorcycle, a 2016 Fatboy S. But it’s all black denim/Matte finish. I love everything about this motorcycle. This is my first motorcycle here in Canada, Toronto. I could not have made a better decision. All the very best. Keep it coming… ride safe my brother… let it rip

    I reached out to BRS Customs thanks to your video. Installed the 14” open apes on my S and man, that was the best upgrade so far. Aside from buying it used in 2020 with only 1k miles on it, the 2016 FBS came with stage one Screamin Eagle, upgrade seats, instrument gage and sone bad ass VH pipes.
    Thanks for your videos Minner. 👍

      Great. I bet the bars look great and that bike deserves bars with large diameter pipe. It’s a shame to see thin bars on this bike. Sounds like to got a killer deal. Enjoy it!

    Thanks Min, you're a true gentleman. If we get a couple of nice days I will fit the Harley auxiliary lamp set (black) & the 2 4inch led & 7 inch led. The more light the better, terrible drivers over here, I like your seat too 🖒😎

  • @Savage1776_

    I want to put mini apes on my Softail Deluxe but I have a bad back. Now to be 100% honest the stock bars as comfortable as they are because my hands are down low the blood goes to my hands and numbs my hands out on Long rides.. recently lifting up the bike kind of tweet the stock handlebars. So now I'm in the market to buy new handlebars on the stock ones cost just as much as Mini Apes. I was thinking about doing 8in or 10in but after purchasing two bikes I'm a little tap right now and don't feel like spending another few hundred doing handlebars. Did you actually have to change out all your wiring and your brake line or did it just fit perfectly

  • @DarioCruz92
    @DarioCruz92 7 років тому

    Have you seen Harley-Davidson's new brass line? They are very impressive. But alas, they don't have a fuel gauge in that color. And good choice of ape hanger; the design looks great.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      Thanks Dario. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a simple solution to the fuel gauge. options to make a symmetric match would take more time than I'm willing to spend or more money than I'm willing to spend. Will probably just replace with something black.

    • @DarioCruz92
      @DarioCruz92 7 років тому

      I'm sure it will look fine & I'm being too anal retentive, but not perfectly matching anything would drive me bonkers. Thanks again for sharing your ride. And, yes, that spot does look like a perfect place to have lunch.

    freight train nacelle looks great! did the upgrade require a riser change? I am considering this for my FB S, but the fitment guide calls for separate purchase of riser kit P/N 56789-05. which i am assuming is required so the clamp cover will fit over the riser? if so wondering if leaving the clamp cover off is an option, and looks ok aesthetically.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      Unfortunately I'm not sure if a new riser is required. The cover is pretty big and I'd be surprised if it didn't fit. I had to change my risers anyway for the new handlebar and the new risers were actually a bit taller than stock (still less than 3"). Since the cover fits over taller risers I don't know why they are requiring a riser kit.

    Man love the bike! The monotubes you went with, did you keep stock height or the 2" lowering? For your bars how much longer are the brake and clutch lines? Looking forward to hearing what you do to the rear.

    Hi Minner,
    I know your sadle is from C&C .
    I have the fatboy lo 2011 , wich is almost the same as your Fatboy S.
    My length is 5.7 "and just flatfeet on the ground. Is the saddle just about the same height as stock. ?
    Does the saddle sit not to much backwards ? Or maybe a bit forward (better for me).
    Does C&C makes also upfront seats like le pera as you know ?
    Greetings from Holland,
    Martin,

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  3 роки тому

      My apologies for the extremely delayed response. You sit a little lower but also a little further back if you lean on the backrest. The bottom cushion is thinner and too low for me but if you’re under 6 foot it may feel fine. If you like the seat, you could ask if they would give you a thicker cushion in the back to place you a little more forward.

    oh you got the new bars! Dude yer killin me agin! Love the headlight!.. also Im from kanada and I heard parts of WCH1 are closed now? how much of it? I might just fly my ass out there and rent one. Far too much time to ride out. Im basically north of NY. Im thinkin of 14's for the sportster.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      Martial 3231 I'd recommend a ride down the pacific highway and stop off at the canyons that are in several locations along the way. Fly out. You'll love it. I'm sure Canada has some beautiful roads as well. Enjoy that sportster!

    • @M3231-s3v
      @M3231-s3v 7 років тому

      MInner, yes! this summer we did the east side of Lake Superior about 2000 miles in total. WOW! Never would have believed there were roads like that in Canada! And Ive done WCH1 a few times in cars, once in a rented vette but never on a bike, that would be awesome. Do Harley dealers there rent fatboy? cuz the ones near here will only rent sportsters due to insurance they say.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      I know they rent touring bikes here in San Diego. I can see how fewer people would rent a softail but I'm sure there are dealers that do it. Give a dealer a call in an area where you'd land. Make sure it's a big place though, Laidlaw's in Los Angeles, San Diego Harley Davidson, etc.

    Looking good bro! I've been debating new bars on my 16 S for awhile, like you it's tough to really gauge based on pics, need to sit on a bike to get the feel. Thanks for the different views for perspective. Does that back rest make a difference for comfort? What seat is that and backrest if you don't mind sharing. Check out the Lindby Bar (Magnum bar) 1.5" crash bar...put mine on few months ago and really compliments the "fatness" of the bike.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      Mike Madal thanks man! I've seen and liked that crash bar on the internet but I haven't seen one in person. Good to hear it lives up to the pictures.
      The seat is C&C fastback with a removable backrest. The backrest makes a huge difference for me. You can lighten the grip on the bars and really reduces fatigue - especially when at speed. The stitch is custom pattern I asked for.

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому +2

      David Mcilroy Thanks! I know, there is a lot of guesswork involved. I'm 6'2". The bars are 10". These are well below my shoulders so someone my height would be fine with 12-14" rise as well. The 10" rise would be fine for anyone 5'10" or taller. Keep in mind that stock risers on this bike are 2" and new ones I have are 2.5" so the total rise on these 10" bars is 12.5 inches. Hope this helps and good luck to ya.

    For your anatomy and the bikes appearnae, pull the bars back a ful three inches and of course youll need to tilt your mirrors up one half inch.. And get rid of that rear back rest, it says total Honda japanese. Get a harley chrome rear back rest instead. But that rear back rest must go, it degrades your harley

      Geoff Oz Evans it was just under 300$ US. The kind of
      Thing that's worth it if the front is bothering you. It's stiffer so less bounce on takeoff and stopping but not as soft as stock on those ripples when cruising

    • @MinnerQ
      @MinnerQ  7 років тому

      I was going for something a little lower - in the 8 inch range but thought they would be too low. I'll give myself time to adapt and i'll take it out for a 200-400 mile ride. I'd actually be surprised if these are as comfortable as stock with that distance.
