i agree i wanna see Megaman X9 to be out and i want it on PlayStation 3 so i can play the final end chapter of Megaman X only reason why on playstation 3 is cause i can not afford a PlayStation 4 nor be bothered to get one since i have 2 playstations of 3 and 2 consoles and no room for my PlayStation 4 plus i do not wanna bother wasting money on it but then again it would be worth buy PlayStation 4 IF Megaman X9 comes out on the PlayStation 4

I always liked the x vs zero theme from x5,glad they remembered it existed
I was actually worried they wouldn't include it. I was like, "nah, they don't even remember that Ryu has more than one theme song. Why would they include this theme?" I've never been so happy to be so wrong.
The battle has the biggest sin here: Rocket is out of place in the battle. Game sins, give it a ten sin.
Second, it’s better if X says, “Nova, Major, Rocket, get to the core. I’ll handle him on my own”
The song's called "X Vs. Zero" for a reason. Seriously, I'm glad that Capcom remembered the Maverick Hunters and their theme, but was it too hard to leave Rocket out of the battle?

@@maxrichards3881 Actually, X has defeated Zero multiple times on his own. This wouldn't be any different, he even defeated him when he was in his "awakened Zero" form all on his own. And as powerful as X has become, it's safe to assume he could've handled Zero on his own. Without Rockets help.

This theme is the OST's saving grace.

The most iconic fight in gaming history. Friend vs Friend, ally vs ally, in a full on duel to the death. For the fate of the world, one will fall... My god I got goosebumps just saying that. Just goes to show how epic this theme is really. Now, if only we got a new X game. Doesn't even need to be a new one, just give us Maverick Hunter X 2. Or the X legacy collection. Just give us more X and Zero.
Capcom seems to have a lot of those.
I wouldnt say THE most iconic in gaming history (the Megaman series isnt the most popular in the world and certainly not by the point of X and Zero's story) but definitly up there

I hope, capcom is working on an update that gives us an "Arranged" soundtrack option that gives special themes for characters special themes for certain match ups. Off the top of my head we have X vs Zero, Cap. America vs Iron man, Dante vs Jedah, Thanos vs Gamora. There's plenty of pair potential here. (Mostly i just want that Spider-man theme heard in the credits, but i'm not picky.)
Oh and you know, a 4 player mode.
They totally should go the KoF14 route and give certain characters Destined Battle themes like Terry vs. Geese or Kyo vs. Iori

As a nice nod, X vs. Ryu should have Armored Armadillo's theme cause you get the Hadouken there in X1.

I was screaming at the top of my damn lungs with my husband, gripping onto his shirt and shaking him and screaming "OMG, YESSSSS, GO XEEEYYYYY!!!!"
I was dying. I was a little disappointed with how Zero ended up playing the damsel in distress (outside of taking down the symbiotie). But X really stole the show. I was actually hoping, from the start of story mode, that him and Iron Man would team up for something big, something to rival ultronsigma. Maybe Iron Man will whip up an Armor for X in the future story? (Seeing it was a cliff hanger)

I am so stoked! aside a new X game this is the best thing evar!!

I think all X needs now in this game is.
1 New seperate move while charge cancellable from normals like Zero and with no followups.
2 Chargable Special moves during Armor utilizing Mobile charge release at early frames of Special Weapon command.
3 4 More special weapons. One for D,D+K, 3 in the air for d,db,b+P.....d,df,b+K and d,df,f+K. Preferably X8 Squeeze Bomb (X8), Tri-Thunder x5 in air (Like Doom finger beams), Homing Sniper.. a homing missile attack from X7 like Arthur's homing arrow in air and Maybe something interesting like Meteor Rain or Ray Arrow from X6. Also if they can, throw in Lightning Web X4 in for free. that move is too cool to pass in an X moveset.

When i saw X and Zero were going to be in this game, i was hyped for it and couldn't wait for it, when i finally got this game and got to the fight with Zero as X and Rocket and this played, i almost cried remembering X5 and now i love this game for that even thought it has some flaws

Even Ultron Sigma's virus can't keep our boy maverick for long, but just long enough for a much needed battle. I only wish that it lasted longer, and had more impact. What if Zero had taken Knowmoon for himself and betrayed the grandmaster? The source of the virus delivering it to earth for Wily's conquest. It would be a three way war. The heroes, Xgard, and the one who truly brought this war to fruition.
That would actually feel great. Then the pressure of stopping Knowmoon would be even heavier on them, though I suppose you have the question of what is everyone else doing while X fights Zero?
Nevflinn What if Zero had recruited new mavericks to defend him on Knowmoon? It would add some tension to finding Zero, and there would be enough mavericks to spice things up for everyone else. X would face Zero once again, perhaps with Strider or Gamora instead of Rocket, but that's just my preference, and fight him until Zero finally snapped out of it. By then it would be too late. Knowmoon would crash, and the only chance they have is to return to Stark Tower and use the Infinity Stones. It would destroy the base, but not before the Sigma Virus is released. Everyone would be infected, all except X, who was built to withstand it, and had 100 years to perfect his systems. It would once again be up to X, but he'd need some help from the others to reach Xgard, and he would need a weapon to rival the Space and Time stones. Enter Dr. Light and Stark, who had been working on a new buster for X, the Infinity Buster.
That would have been good. They could even throw in some Maverick enemies to fight if they wanted to keep the others busy, or make Zero that much harder like they did Nemesis.
Maybe if Capcom release an Ultimate edition, they could revamp story mode a little too?
You guys would have done a better job than the actual story writers!

It honestly wouldn't sound out of place in the MCU. It fits the tone perfectly. One of this game's shining points, such as they are.

No. His maverick form would be for him to Awaken and gain his memories back. Here Zero was just temporarily reprogrammed. BUT he should've Awakened here seeing as how they're on a giant space thing like the Eurasia in X5 and it's filled with the virus just like X5..... but then again the core is what held the virus in MvC so it's understandable as to how he didnt Awaken.
I'm disappointed in the 31 so called fans that actually liked the idea thinking he "Was basically in maverick form" Zero fans that do no research. smfh.
If Zero did get corrupted by sigma, no one could have stopped him!

Play at 1.25 And you get something resembling the original. But if you play that in 0,75 it turns into a slow tense battle kind of theme. Pretty cool.

Winter-0 This sentence is so bass-ackwards I can't even.
Inafune has always made it clear he preferred Zero over X since it's his design.
Its been known for awhile that the x series wasn't originally even supposed to star x and instead was supposed to be about zero which is why most of the games' story focuses on him. Its because of Capcom that we even have x as a character to begin with actually.
Inafune is the reason why Mega Man games existed in the first place. His leaving is the reason why Mega Man is dead. Clearly, he cares a hell of a lot more about Mega Man than Capcom does.
I agree. For those who know the true stories behind Mega Man. Innafune went as further to try and kill X at the hands of Zero first in MMZ series, which was denied by Capcom and they used Copy X instead. The 2nd time... he tried to Dontify X by giving him a horrible design in a FPS... but glad he left before it and the game never came out... oh did I mention he was gonna have X killed at the hands of Zero in the end of the FPS series.
So why have I been listening to this for over 4 hours looped? No clue but I like it.

Gotta say really liking how mmx5 got some love with this theme and sigma' s wave 1 alt. Heck x series in general with sigma being one of the main bad guys and x's command mission alt.
I'm very pleasantly surprised!! For one, it's epic that this theme came back at ALL, and for another, every other song I've heard from the game's been pretty lackluster.

I remember I was hoping that this was X's in game theme. I'm happy it's in in some way, even if it is inferior the original, still makes me smile though.
This song makes failure biologically impossible.
I keep coming back to this just to listen. To be honest I never thought Capcom would be clever enough to put this in considering the other questionable things they did with this game. X really is the star of the Capcom side more than Ryu I think.
