WOW! This is absolutely beautiful! Incredibly impressive app! I was actually thinking about doing something similar to the row-merge approach the other day, but this is leaps and bounds above what I was thinking. I can't begin to express how impressive this is -- from the foundation of just identifying duplicates and replacing them correctly, to the clean, modern, integrated look, to the incredibly intuitive and feature-rich interaction. The review table and review tools do an amazing job of clearly presenting things and allowing you to control what happens. It also seems very responsive and speedy. It's my dream to one day be able to write add-ins for Inventor like this, lol. Fantastic work on this.
why dosent inventor have this native? they should buy this from you and add in as standard, it's such a must have function. mailed you for quotation. and sharing with all my inventor friends.
Very impressive. This problem of duplicates also exist in frame generator parts, can this app handle it as well? Another question at 8:43 , can Glass2G be broken into 2 parts (left and right parts)? Because there are situations when material cannot be flipped. For example IGU (insulatating glass unit), it is very specific to which side is interior or exterior.
Thank you Joseph. Yes it works well with frame generator. Inventor 2021 does now have the ability to auto-pick where a frame member can be reused, but this gets tricky once you take different end treatments, drillings etc into account. Auto-scanning for duplicates using the app is a simple way to reliably handle it. Happy to demonstrate the app for you on a frame generator assembly if you like, let me know. Re. excluding certain parts that have the same geometry but can't be flipped to match, they have to match in the current orientation? That's an interesting scenario - not one that is handled at the moment. You'd have to mark these parts in some way I guess..
