- WOW. I can't believe I'm writing a description for a video I filmed with PETA :') They were the first animal rights organization I had ever heard of when I was in middle school. I joined Peta2 and decked my Myspace out with peta banners. I was THAT kid haha. Anyways, the younger me would be so proud of myself right now and that is all that matters to me. Thank you SO MUCH @Peta for having me take part in this! I hope it inspires you to shop more consciously and ethically xoxo

I recommend the website cruelty free kitty for anyone looking for cruelty free brands!! A lot of brands that appear cruelty free come from parent companies who, unfortunately, still test on animals :( but cruelty free kitty helps find brands that are fully cruelty free!!! Highly recommend!! (Wow that was a lot of “cruelty free” in one comment😂)

I have followed and supported you for years and have almost always been on board with your message, unfortunately this video will be the last one of yours I see. As an influencer trying to raise awareness for any cause, it's your responsibility to do all the research you need to sell your argument. People who don't do research of their own will see this video and think PETA is a good cause because you said so. I cannot stand behind that. I'm sorry.

Girl, I am so happy you try to convince people to stop using products that are tested on animals. I am sad to see that most makeup artists don't seem to care about products being tested on animals or not. It kinda makes me angry that even the biggest influencers don't give a shit about animal cruelty (if they would care, they would stop using these cruel brands instead of convincing their followers to buy them and slap it on their faces)! They should be the ones promoting cruelty free products to everyone, so everyone can follow this example!! I am so happy to see that you love animals as much as I do. Animals are more important to me than humans. I hope everybody wakes up and goes cruelty free! Love you girl, keep on going💋

A lot of the brands you talked about like kat von d and too faced don’t test on animals but are part of bigger brands that still test on animals.. just thought you should know.. cause its not okay and people don’t talk about it enough

I had this one job interview at this animal rescue organization and I mentioned PETA (back then I did not do my research on them) , they frowned and looked down right away....and so I'm more than 100% sure that's why I didnt get a call back....or maybe it's just me lmaoooo

PETA ain’t it sis, but loovveee that you’re going cruelty free! It’s very important to note, however, that Too Faced, NYX, and Urban Decay are NOT owned by cruelty free companies! TF and NYX are owned by Estée Lauder and UD by L’Oreal, both which sell their products in China where its law to test products on animals. Supporting the individual brands gives money to their parent companies with poor ethics!

Tarren Pearson I’m so sad to see this. I love Alison and have been faithful to her for years and this video was brilliant! Amazing info, facts and things to keep in mind. I just struggle to look past the fact that PETA is in any way involved. What a horrific company 😢 KVD products too...
Unfortunately, certain brands in this video are not in actuality 100% cruelty free. Brands like Too Faced, Tarte, Urban decay etc. are owned by brands that DO test on animals. These parent companies include L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, Kose etc. It is very nice that Too faced is cruelty free and the product you are using hasn't been tested on animals. However, you NEED to remember that now that Estée Lauder has boughten Too Faced, your money is now going into Estée Lauder's Pocket and Estee Lauder is using a percentage of your money that you "supposedly" gave to Too Faced, to test on animals for their Estée Lauder branded items. So, at the end of the day, your money is being used to continue the suffering and murdering of innocent animals. So, you are really at the end of the day NOT helping these animals. You are infact the ones that are contributing to their sad and horrible lives in a lab. So, please please please educate yourself. PETA is not a reliable website to find cruelty free brands and they are not the animal lovers that they appear to be. You need to do your own research. You cannot just trust any influencer who says something is cruelty free. Yes, technically these brands are cruelty free, but you need to think back to why you buy cruelty free, so animals don't suffer, but when you buy from the brands listed above (who's parent companies test on animals) animals are suffering. Alison I really do love you and I really respect that you are a vegan, because I am trying to become one myself, but please your audience trusts you and this video is really not great to have out.
So proud of this work you're doing! Get that coin while supporting a movement you truly believe in. When others wake up and decide they want to try cruelty free products and transitioning to a vegan lifestyle they will be so so happy to have you and your videos. Been watching for a very long time! I hope you know your voice is heard and valued.

I love you and I love animals, but I can't support PETA. Fully support living cruelty free, but PETA has repeatedly proven that they don't actually care about the welfare of animals and kill nearly all the animals, including the healthy, adoptable, and the ones that can be rereleased into nature, that come into their care. Again, I love you, but please do more research into the companies that you work with in the future. If you love animals, this is one of the last companies you'd publicly give a platform to.

I liked the tutorial but PETA is definitely not an organization you want to associate yourself with no matter how great the paycheck was. Wish you’d have done more research. Also Kat Von D wasn’t a great choice either. Pretty disappointed to be honest.
Ya lost me at too faced. Was hoping it'd be brands that aren't made by companies that test on animals. That's basically just a line of products that they don't test on animals, but the money still goes to the company that does test on animals and allows them to get both the money from China (requires animal testing) and people who want to be cruelty free in other countries. If we don't buy their "cruelty free" products, they will either pull out of China (which could help China stop animal testing because they'd be making money from those brands too) or their profits will just go down and GOOD they don't deserve our money. I'd much rather give my money to actual cruelty free brands. Also in the past I did work for one of these parent companies involving advertising for their "cruelty free" brand which the parent company obviously plans and pays for and gets the profits from etc they seriously are not as separate as people think.
But yeah cmon it's not hard to support more ethical businesses there's so many out there nowadays.
