Unfortunately it's all in Finnish, but some finnish power metal artists made an album of metal versions of classic christmas songs. It's called Raskasta Joulua (heavy christmas)
Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry about my hoarse voice I was getting sick here 🤣 Thank you all for watching us over the last year, it means the world! On to the next year and more metal for Evelyn to listen to! 💪🏻💪🏻
I think a lot of people know, but I'll say it anyway. Sabaton has a channel dedicated to the history behind their songs called Sabaton History. Here's the episode about the Christmas Truce, they also comment what happend in the Eastern front. ua-cam.com/video/LJq64dF5ZfQ/v-deo.htmlsi=MxsMsWM2znMDF_dm
First song is defiantly going to be playing in my earbuds at work during the Christmas season. Please be nice to all the retail workers this Christmas season.
I have a content recommendation. Since Acid Bath is getting back together in 2025, I think it would be cool if you did a video diving into sludge metal. Some other cool sludge are Crowbar, Dystopia, and Melvins. Regarding Acid Bath, some of their best songs are Bleed Me An Ocean, Graveflower, and Venus Blue. Though their heaviest songs are probably Jezebel and Dope Fiend. All of which I recommend.
Happy holidays and cheers to great success in 2025! I really enjoyed this video…I had no idea that Christmas metal was a thing, and I friggin love “All I want For Christmas” by Theocracy 😂Thank you!!!
There’s a recent 12 Tone video that goes into the history of Carol of The Bells that’s incredibly interesting. It’s a Ukrainian folk song / melody. The Christmas lyrics were added by an American.
All these songs are on my Christmas playlist. Very well done. Instead of the Jingle Bell Rock by Brojob, you should do their All I Want for Christmas Is You cover. Much better. Its the only version I can really handle. 😁
8:06 there was no Chrismtas Truce at the eastern front because most of the russian soldiers were orthodox not catholic or protestant so Christmas for them are like 2 weeks after ours
I would like to recommend Searching Serenity's Christmas stuff. They have a couple Christmas EPs that are just THE BEST. Also Tommy Johansson has an entire Christmas album with his band Majestica based on the classic novel A Christmas Carol and two Christmas albums released under his solo project Tommy J on Spotify. Blind Guardian have a version of Merry Xmas Everybody. Brojob also have a couple albums, though I only know those through a friend for now and cannot speak to the quality of them.
Speaking of Judas Priest and since they were one of the OGs, I think a 70s metal reaction video would be nicer than just JP. Show her how it all started
The original Carol if the Bells is a Ukrainian song "Щедрик" and it has Ukrainian lyrics, though mostly played without them. The English lyrics were written in the mid 1930s
next christmas do Lordi - Merry Blah blah blah and Nanowar of Steel - Valhalleluja. But Christmas Truce is a fantastic pick here. This gives me an idea, make a comedy metal one, with Nanowar of Steel, Tenacious D, Psychostick. Maybe also some Edguy or Electric Callboy would fit
When it comes down to Metal and Christmas songs, i have a hard time thinking of anything else than Trans Siberian Orchestra. That's pretty much been their whole schtick for quite a while. And they made quite decent bucks with it.

I love this idea!!
After that Grinch song, I think an episode looking at Ice Nine Kills would be fun 🤣

"God rest ye merry gentlemen" the Iommi/Dio version.

Theocracy are the GOATs of Christmas metal. Wynter Fever is epic, and Snowglobe is also a really nice song.
would be awesome if you had your wife listen to gojira's song The Way of All Flesh in the next video!
@@Arn._. Gojira very soon! She will give them extra points for being French I am sure 🤣

About the Christmas truce, you can watch on your own time the movie "Joyeux Noël".
ABR are Christmas legends 🤘🏼🎄

Merry Christmas! 'August Burns Red' is the best band for metal Christmas music!
Oh you know, you know. Haha
The melody that you recognized sounds like it's from While My Guitar Gently Weeps
YES THANK YOU--It had been driving me nuts. Thank you giga chad music knowledge knower
@@VARVIS_ No problem! Great video btw
awesome wholesome vid! (top tier content)
carol of the bells was written in Ukrainian by Mykola Leontovych in 1914; the English-language lyrics were written in 1936 by Peter Wilhousky.
Indeed

The Carol of the Bells by Lilac is awesome, check it out if you haven't yet.
Love these vids ❤ Have you listened to the Merry Axemas albums Varvis? Merry Christmas to you both too 🎄

B A S E D.
Merry Christmas Happy Holidays was not an original by Issues. It was an nsync song. That may be why you thought it had a boy band (jonas bros) feel
Maybe next year Brojob, I think they have 2 short christmas albums
Looks like it's time to listen to some Christopher Lee. I knew he was based but I didn't know he was THAT based. lol
Do reactions to thrash metal overall (bcs you did one on megadeth) like (Testament,Slayer,Exodus,Anthrax).
16:17 you talking about Beta? xD
beta?
@VARVIS_ periphery released a joke song called Beta because they have Alpha and Omega
Ahhh yes that was what I was referencing 🤣 didnt realize the time stamp was for that

I really want to like this channel, but “normie” is so infantile and obnoxious, it’s hard for me to get past 😆
What would you call this series instead? I also have been struggling with the name
We should all strive to be normies
Goo goo ga ga
@@VARVIS_ Maybe Non metalhead, or Metal Newbie?
I'm fine with it
