@Chatsworth Osbourne Jr. No, I definitely have a sense of humor. But there’s nothing funny about a crook. I have a hard time laughing at someone that’s constantly trying to rip people off. Have a nice day.
@Chatsworth Osbourne Jr. It was one of the best comedy shows on television. But the comedy level dropped every time Haney walked into the scene. Haney “tried“ to be funny while the other characters on the show were naturally funny. If you knew anything about comedy and how comedy actually works you would understand that.
I so HATED Mr Haney!! he's reminds me soooo much of Uncle Joe (I hated him too). Why did they have to have these lazy, no good characters on these shows anyway!! Those who LIKED Mr Haney must be INSANE!!!! I'd love to see how YOU would react if he came to you with all his stupidity
OMG, me, too! While I liked Buttram as an actor (he was outstanding in the Alfred Hitchcock Hour episodes), I hated the Haney and Uncle Joe characters. They were both unsympathetic and unrepentant, and had no conscience. It's hard to warm up to liars and cheats.
The character is brilliant. He creates tension and he relieves it with hilarity. Like Gilligan or Barney Fife. These actors did an amazing job with a very creative script
