I bought one and have had no issues. I use the recommended ammo and clean after each use. I love this gun!

Thanks!!! This is the best review I have seen since my purchase. Well spoken, well formatted, step by step, excellently presented information.

I had a few light strikes when I first got my pmr. I slightly modified the firing pin to allow another 2 thou of protrusion. Has ran great for thousands of rounds since.

I just got mine last week, brought it home took it apart oiled it and the mags and it ran flawless. Very accurate I’m glad I bought it and it’s American made. CMR 30 is next on my list

WAS recently at the range with my new PMR 30. The only thing that was done prior to shooting was thoroughly cleaning the gun and lubing it. I shot 600 rounds using 4 magazines & various ammo types of different manufacturers. I loaded four magazines with the ludex speedloader and did not condition the ammo during the loading process as per kel-tecs recommendation. The only pause in shooting came from either loading another mag or stopping to reload all the mags which took a bit of time. I had a total of five failures: 4 failed to eject and a single failed to feed for a whopping 0.0083 percent failure rate. YES I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS 22 MAG SEMI AUTO.

I now have 5 22/22mag handguns and I'm just tired of hearing the word "PLINKER"! First of all I have Not and Never Will call my PMR30 a Plinker but I will call it an Awesome, self defense weapon! I will never enter into a Pointless Debate with those who believe that anything below a 9mm, is not considered a Viable Carry gun! Having said this, I can go back in History and prove my point But I won't waste my time because I'm 79 years old and I'm ready for my Nap! Good Luck All!

5.7 and 22wmr have the exact same pressures and ballistics. Best part is 22wmr is ⅓ the cost and has hunting, target and self defense loads compared to 5.7 that just has high speed $2 a bullet price point.

22 mag is very much capable of self-defense and some more.

I searched for videos on this particular pistol and didn't find this one. Today, randomly, it showed up on the YT "homepage". Good review, thanks.

I have both the PMR30 and CMR30 with 2000 rounds through PMR and 1000 rounds through CMR. Only issue I had was caused by a cracked magazine which failed to feed last round. As to ammo I found 36 Grain VMAX rounds have a tendency to keyhole in my PMR and I have read this is related to early models with fluted barrel. CMR does not have this problem and handles all grain weights without a problem.

Light tubes may fall out of the sights in first few rounds. Firing pin can break before 500 rounds. Buffer pad will be done before 1000 rounds.... and it's ammo sensitive. But, it's a thrill to shoot!!!!!
Get the uplula loader specifically for those mags and don't forget the rifle that uses the same mags, the CMR-30!!!

I just brought my pmr 30 out the closet when I first got it I thought it was a little toy it stayed in my tackle box but now I see it's a good round to back me up when I'm hunting too. Deadly with squirrels, rabbits and to finish off deer I'm thinking of getting another one soon. It's a dang shame that it's so flimsy I keep feeling like I'm gonna break it 😂. And I need a holster for it any good ideas

I love mine!!! I know I've heard people talk crap about the grip size, and how its too big front to back, but the same people purchase a Ruger 5.7 pistol and rant and rave about it. The Ruger is the same size, so I'm sure snobbery has something to do with it.

Underdog of the pistol world. I love mine. Get a speed loader, m carbo upgrades and keep it cleaned. I run hornady 45gr. No issues 4yrs in.
Edit: if you get an optic beware of the weight. It will impede the slide action.

But you were smiling when firing. They're even sweeter with the MCarbo upgrades if you want to put another $250 in it. 22WMR x even 25 rounds is a self defense weapon in close range. Little fire breathers.

New Yorks New firearm permit scheme.
How long before other anti firearm states try the same thing.
New York is requiring citizens who want a firearm permit, or renewing a permit to attend a class, qualify with a firearm, submit personal information from social media, relatives. Present and past spouses, psychological evaluation,
Then you have to go before a judge.
Next you have to go before the officer who signs and gives you the firearm permit.
None of the programs mentioned above are in place, and who knows how long before lt begins.
Just another tactic to delay, or in the long run make it harder or impossible for citizens to get their constitutional given right to obtain a firearm permit.
The question is, Does this include the people who get a quick pass to get their permit because they were a friend of someone influential.
Does it include Body gaurds of movie stars and others i can't think of at the moment who got carry permits in New York , Massachusetts and California, when the average everyday legal citizen could not get a firearm permit.
Pay close attention and see if they do.
Please pass this message on to others.

Keltec has a lifetime warranty and why is that you ask? Because your going to need it. My pistol was sent back 4 times the 1st 3 times replaced this and that. The 4th time keltec replaced the frame and added an 'A' to the serial number. Only used CCI MaxiMags. Loaded with I Israeli Uplula and tapped the back after every 5th round. One failure was a massive case rupture. With the new frame 2 jams out of 250 rounds. I enjoy shooting 22mag I just purchased the Walther Wmp at 540.00 full retail worth every dime. 400 rounds 1 Jam the first magazine. Perfect since. My local gun shop/range does not stock ANY Keltec because customers come back bitching about problems. Buy the Walther WMP.
      Thank you!
