Idk anything about the older rails beyond that they were an absolute nightmare. These honestly aren’t bad. So it’s difficult for Sliger to get better rails because finding a partner is difficult due to their small size.
I think I want to build something exactly like this. One thing that I’m a little confused about though… the direction I can see those GPU fans facing… does that mean that the top panel of the case closes flat against the surface of them? Is the intended airflow not suffocated by the case? I’m trying to understand the airflow dynamics like some of the animations that Gamers Nexus started putting out for their recent case reviews.
@@SPXLabs Thankyou, unless of course you intend to add further rack-mount systems to the server chassis in future. The build itself was very well done by the way.

Well knowing the depth of your rack is the most important part. So if yours is 24 inches deep then you select the rail kit that encompasses that depth. So 16 to 31 would work.
are you using some kind of extension for your peripherals? or is the rack still next to you? what would you use to interface with the pc when its far away?
Well it still feels claustrophobic in part because the monitor, despite being quite large, is so close to the front of the desk. Also regardless of the fan problem it is quite clear that the GPU is not getting enough air as the top of the case is so close to it. Server cases like this are designed for front to back airflow. Just put your PC tower on the floor and it will free up desk space while not having to face the new issues introduced by a different form factor.
Yeah my desk is on the shallow side at 24 inches deep which is definitely partly to blame. I definitely want to try this out first and see how it goes before turning my desktop into a floortop.
