    I grew up around this area and Cedarbrook. So much nostalgia. Thinking about moving back

    I was born and raised in East Mt Airy in the 70s and 80s. Still a wonderful area. Would definitely live here again If I was back in the Philly area

      We had a great time making this one and we are glad you enjoyed it too! Any specific areas in the neighborhood that you remember from back then? 🤔

    I loved the area, but after the pandemic, it got sketchy (East Mt. Airy mainly). Stay away from Chew Ave. I sold my house. Did pretty well. Now I'm in Delco and love it here.

      There's always those areas you will think twice about. Being aware is a big part of staying safe in any city.

      If you sold your home within a year of the pandemic, you made out pretty well. Property prices still have not settled.

      @@LivinginPhiladelphia Northwest like My. Airy, Germantown and Manayunk. My family have always lived in South Philly or Northeast and I never got out to Northwest. Philly is definitely cheaper than DC

    Unfortunately developers have been driving up rents and house prices here
    so much that the original atmosphere of Mount Airy is lost!!. ALSO THE ZIP
    CODE IS 19119...no other.

    • @LivinginPhiladelphia
      @LivinginPhiladelphia  3 роки тому

      It is true, when the local areas get improvements and development sweeps through the prices usually go up. Some areas need these renovations desperately. Hopefully the future will have some kind of middle ground that isn't too extreme to keep the neighborhoods integrity and atmosphere intact.

      @lawriefoster5587- you are right! I've been in West Mt Airy for 53 yrs. West Mt Airy zip is only 19119!!
      19150- East Mt Airt
      19144- Germantown
      19138- West Oak Lane/ border East Mt.Airy

    Thank you for Mt. Airy, Ralph. An interesting town is Conshohocken. I've been there, and some years ago one of the shopkeepers on Main Street was murdered in his store.

      Great town for sure. We did a video of "Conshy" not too long ago. Right along the Schuylkill River, it's being pretty heavily developed now. Fun little town.
