Well, my mother is quite a nature lover person. She has turned just 50 now and is smart and active of her age. Since my childhood i had seen her growing variety of plants. In our home outside a veranda , she has planted vegetables such that cauliflower, tomatoes, onion ,green chilies, roses and jasmine plants. The creeping plants has given the beautiful view to our home from outside. In addition to that she, herself has carved out a wooden sitting which is a family gathering spot for tea in the evening. Oh, i forgot to mention she is keen about garnishing and for that she has grown coriander and spring onions in addition to other vegetables. Sometimes i help her too with seeds sowing and watering the plants.Though i am not into gardening as a habit due to my hectic job schedule. I would be doing that in future most probably as the love for nature is in my blood and i would love to have my own garden just like my mom.
A person next to my apartment , spends lots of time gardening and has grown beautiful colorful flowers..i once happen to speak with him and he disclosed his love for growing variety of plants and trees since his childhood. What is more intersting is that he has great knowledge about seeds too and this motivated me to learn about some of the seeds which could help me t to pursue my hobby of vegetable gardening
Hi Asiya, thank you so much for the videos. I just got my results earlier today and I managed to improve my listening band score from 7.5 to 9, reading from 8 to 8.5 and speaking from 6.5 to 7 with a month of preparation by watching your videos and subscribing your online course. My overall band score is 8!
Hello, I followed your channel specially for the speaking section. I took the test on 10 November and today I have got my result. Speaking: 8, Listening: 8, Reading: 8.5, Writing:7. Overall band:8. Continue the splendid work that you are doing. Thanks a lot from Bangladesh.
HUGE HUGE THANK YOU. I scored 8.0 band: R 9 L 8.5 W 7.5 S 7.5 because of your videos. Your detailed account help me know better what to expect and your tips enabled me to avoid mistakes and score higher. I am so thankful we live in a time where such resources are available from such amazing people like you. The night before my exam I was unwell and I only watched your Writing videos. Hadn't practiced a single task. Your explanation helped me score 7.5. Big thanks!
@@geethamadhurig6177 Sure! First tip which I'm suré you already know is that the questions are in order. So read 2 questions read passage get ànswers, then read next 2 questions get answer repeat. So you have already narrowed down to 1 para out of 8. Next thing to remember is u don't need to use ur brain much but what u need to do is look for paraphrasing. Literally all answers are just synonymous sentences or words. You have already narrowed down. You have 6-7 sentences in fron of you look for paraphrase. That's it with this I'm sure u will get all answers.
@@geethamadhurig6177 for Match the heading, don't read options first. Read first para, read all options, choose. If u have doubt write both options. Eventually as u read and choose further one of them will get cancelled out and u will get the right answer u needed. Next read 2nd para, again read ALL options, including the one u cancelled cuz what if u were wrong about the first one. Choose the one that matches best. Suppose ur totally confused between any 2, look for the paraphrasing.
@@geethamadhurig6177 also it's not true that match the heading can be solved by reading first and last line of a para. Middle lines can also form the heading. So unless ur short on time, read entire para.
Hi Asiya, thank you so much for you help and explanation. Last week I took the test and today I am really happy that I got a the result that I need. Great explanations and examples as always.
I would like to thank you for all the content you have made available on this platform. Your tips have helped me achieve an overall band score of 7.5 with just two weeks of preparation.
@@lary0728 yes sure. Speaking: I followed the tips discussed in this channel. So go through the speaking section of this channel Reading: I practiced from paperback Cambridge Reading. Strategy: Read the first five questions(for example) then read the first sentences of each paragraph. This will give you an idea whether you can get answer from this section or not. Personally, I found this strategy quite hard. However i sticked to it and kept practicing the reading section , completing 3 or 4 reading sections everday . I did this continously for one week. And finally I could finish the reading section 4 or 5 min before time. I followed her other tips as well. Listening: For listening , I practised past papers of listening from other youtube channel. There are plenty of them you can find . Strategy: Quickly skim through the question, so that you can anticipate before the answer being told in the audio. Writing: For writing I practised from makkar IELTS. Strategy: It might strange to you all. But what I did for writing is to practice by writing the solved answers word by word. The reason for it was , so that my brain gets wired and pick the patterns of band 9 answers while I write word by word. I prefer writing the solved answers over just reading them, because it forces me to focus on the grammatical patterns and phrases the band 9 scored writer has used . Hope this helps someone.
Yesterday was my speaking test, i was asked about giving my opinions to others. It was fairly am easy topic, but i never expected it. It caught me off guard. And i feel i didn't give it my best. Hoping to get a good score from the examinar in 3 days.
