I know it is very unlikely, but I guess here may be the place to ask - Does anyone remember the name of a Horizontal Space Shooter in which you can get power up that give you like a robo-dog that runs around on the ground or a robo-eagle that flies around with you shooting enemies? (Pretty sure they were assists rather than you turning into them, but I could be wrong). As I remember those were like the "main" power ups in the game. I can't remember what year it was from sadly, but looking at these, I would say it looks graphically similar to the ones from around 1989. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated! :)
@@jordanbenson2980 Not really, sorry! I have since had it suggested that the game was 'Exzisus', and young my brain could have made up the part where the dog/wolf runs along the bottom (I also don't remember the playable character being a guy in a space suit either, but there is an upgrade to turn into the ship). It is possibly that, but I am not sure. Definitely not exactly how my brain remembers it!

I'm looking for an arcade game I played back in the 90s.. its a vertical shooter game, the setting was in space where you can choose between a male and female pilot. the distinguishing feature of this game probably is the weapon system. from what i remember, it is like an option that follows the ship. one type is red. it fires different burst shots depending on how long you charge it. at mid charge it fires fire dragon-like shots. at max it unleashes a huge fire bird flapping and killing all enemies in the screen. the other type is blue, and more like the laser type. This, I don't remember this on as much as the red one, but I think it fires different sizes of laser pillars.
