このシーンがラストシーンの伏線としてつながるとは作者は天才すぎる
最後のほうのストーリーは原作者の梶原一騎でなく、作画担当のちばてつやが殆ど考えてたとか。梶原が「真っ白な灰」とジョーのアイデンティ出し、ちばがエンディングにそれを取り入れた。最終回を描き終えたあと梶原はちばに「これは君の作品だ！」とべた褒めしたそうですが、二人に天才が生んだ作品ですね。
