When I was a TWA flight attendant for 40 years we stayed at the Tropicana Hotel on our layovers for years. It was beautiful then and still beautiful old girl. Another implosion in the near future. It’s going like many others like the Dunes, Aladdin, Sands and many more. 😢Thank you Marc for taking us with you for we who could not go there one last time.
Fantastic Marc. I got choked up watching and saying goodbye to the Trop. We were only in there once, but like you said, it’s Vegas and history. Thanks for covering the closing. ❤❤
As someone that just even moved here, I hate seeing classic places shut down. I think it why I enjoy Fremont so much there so much history there. There so many other places they could put a stadium. I get Vegas always changes, but so much history of this area has been lost to the replacing of things. And screw that price.
So many memories of the Trop. Thanks for the solid vid. You rock as always. Stayed at the Tropicana in the junior honeymoon suite 1990 a month before Excalibur opened. Mirrors on walls and ceiling. Awesome pool area. Old school classic with a bit of seediness.
When I worked at the union I was one of the organizers for the Tropicana Hotel Met a lot of great people at the Trop! Ol school folks that worked there for 40 - 50 + years. GOOD LUCK TROP EMPLOYEES!!! You deserve the best!
So much History.....So Sad...Time will come to Pass and with that comes Change....Even if you don't want it ....Marc thanks for taking us with you to the Tropicana..Long Live Rich Little.....
Aww this made me cry. I had fun at Tropicana. I've always said Tropicana was a beautiful hotel. Never stayed, but it was the first hotel I visited in Vegas. Just an empty shell now. It would have been great if they just remodeled the outside. Great video 💜🤗
I had seen you live on Turn it Up. You're a great videographer, and I appreciate the video. ❤ Damn though. It's like going to a wake seeing it go. Too many iconic casinos gone forever. 😢
Excellent work Marc! It’s a shame it’s gone and an even bigger shame they didn’t give you guys the courtesy of a reach around when they gave you the dinner bill!! 😂 love the vid bud!
Not the A's hat.....man that just mean. Great video Marc. Tropicana was always one of my faves bc of its history and decor. I wasxhoping to see it before it was closed but alas, I chose the wrong week to go to LV.
This was a pretty good video, thank you so much. We were there four times in the last week of being open. We went to the comedy show the night before the final night. I had planned on going on the final day to gamble a little bit but I didn’t realize they were shutting the machines down at 3am, and I had to work until 8am. 😢
Sad, I stayed their three times, it was never the best, but it was great value and we always loved the pool area. But, that's Vegas, it's history is found in books (of which I have many), most of it's physical history is soon replaced.
Marc Thanks for that! sad that Vegas is losing History for a Baseball Stadium that is only going to terribly block up traffic on the most crowded corner on the strip. What were they thinking! Saw the "Follies " back in the early 80's, my 1st Vegas Show there. Sometimes what some call progress, SUCKS.
RV DAVY SAYS MY FINAL GOODBYE TO THE TROPICANA LAS VEGAS FINAL NIGHT OF HER GLORIOUS YEARS ON THE VEGAS STRIP SO LONG BABY BYE THANKS MARC THE OTHER ME CHANNEL.
If you've always known a big, beautiful old tree somewhere in your town and then that tree gets blown down one day, it seems only human to me that you'd miss it; at least a little bit. Not because you lived right next to it or went to picnic under it every week, but just because it's something that's always been part of your town and now it's gone. Landmarks deserve to be missed when they go. 🤙
Does anyone know if Vegas Trop has ties to Atlantic city Trop? There was nothing like walking up those iconic white stairs on a Saturday night in Vegas. Classy iconic joint.
I had many good times there, especially in the early 90's. The hottest cigarette girl in the world worked there. "Cigars ... Cigarettes." I started smoking just to talk to her. I miss the Trop already. I hope the do something cool with the glass ceiling. The Island of Las Vegas. Everything is temporary. Enjoy life. RIP Tropicana
Anymore talk about anybody saving the stained glass arched ceiling? I left Vegas in 2003 and haven't been back since. Honestly, the stained glass ceiling is the only thing I recognized in this entire video. Seems everything else about the historic Tropicana was already destroyed whenever they sterilized and gentrified the place after I left.
Sad to see this classic place go... The A's are a terrible team and will be still even in Vegas. The owner is as cheap as dirt !! Sincerely, John Acquavella
I understand that progress happens but there is something morally wrong with tearing down history and Tropicana is a big part of Vegas history. Some cities have properties declared "Historical Sites" to where the city finds ways to upkeep the protected site. I wish Vegas would have done this. I would have loved to have seen the Riviera, the Copa Room inside the Sands, and the beautiful casino floor at the Desert Inn.
20:15 of video is Trago Lounge. Shoutout to my fellow Original Trago Crew members from Oct 2021. Sarah H, Sunshine, Lindsey Duz it, MYSELF, Ridub, Dan619, Yolanda, & Kevin. THUMBS UP!
Good- bye Tropicana Beautiful Lady 😢 old pal ! Remember as a teenager running around there for a couple days in evening gowns! When that was the proper attire for Las Vegas. Thanks Marc ..🪄
I've seen the Sands go, the Stardust go, the Riviera go and new stuff sprout up like a forest after a fire ravages it. I even have pictures of me and the (ex)wife at Lake Mead in 1997 with a full reservoir. Like sands through an hour glass...
I thought Turn it Up was still in Japan glad to see their back. Sorry to see the Trop go but it really needed a complete refurb or tear it down. Casino was ok but the rooms were really mildewy and the convention area was the pits. One of my pool leagues used to hold their nationals there and I hated going due to the smell.
I think it’s sad to see it go. There have been rumors it was going to be taken down for years so it seems like they were just waiting for a lucrative opportunity.
I know that the stain glass ceiling, will be parceled out, has been promised to a few people. Murray the Magician was the magician in residence at the Trop, he will receive part of the ceiling. Which is nice because he lives here.
I am older than the Trop. That sucks. I HAVE A NATIVE RANT ABOUT TO FLY OUT. I apologize in advance. I will never, ever understand why another stadium has to be on the Strip. We have so much land around the valley. The stadium could have been placed at any off ramp. They could have had plenty of parking. They could have placed multiple streets into and out of this stadium. But no. They are hell bound to shove this stadium down our throats. Just like the race, which also paid no attention to what the locals wanted. I will also add all of the hidden resort fee's that treats our tourist like deep pockets, not humans. All of it, all because corporations have no clue how to look at the big picture. Their greed will push everyone away. I'm disgusted. Still, I'm glad you were there to see it end. She was a grand old gal. 🎉😢
So sad about the Trop going away. One of the only things about Vegas I don't like. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to make many memories at the Tropicana. Nothing can take them away. Thx so much Marc!
Thanks for sharing Marc. I was there 3 weeks ago I’m happy I was able to walk around in there. I’ve slept here one time it was a beautiful suite. Goodbye Tropicana!! ❤
Another great video. Las Vegas history is always interesting. Still enjoy the honesty in your videos. Editing and music is so good now..... See you in October
Marc thank you for sharing the last night of The Legendary Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas dude! Never been but I have heard nuttin' but interesting stories about the Trop as you called it! Damn Athletics!
This was A+ production, very well done. I only stayed once at the Trop about 7 or 8 years ago with the fam, we all had a good time, and I was surprised at how well kept the property was. We went to that rock show they had at the time and that was a lot of fun as well. The rooms I thought were pretty large and nice. The only thing I remember not enjoying was the food it was just okay at least at the time I was there. Crazy they are tearing it down when I can think of more than a few other properties on the strip that are just outrageously bad and total eyesores inside and out. It is what it is nothing lasts forever.
I’ve never been to Vegas but that makes me sad. What will they do with all the nice things? I would love to have a section of the stained glass! So sad!
So sad to see glad me and my wife stayed there our last trip to Vegas Trop is going to be missed for sure by a lot of people another iconic resort gone in Vegas sad 😢
When I was a TWA flight attendant for 40 years we stayed at the Tropicana Hotel on our layovers for years. It was beautiful then and still beautiful old girl. Another implosion in the near future. Marc thanks for the memorie of the Tropicana. This casino will truly be missed. You rock
Fantastic Marc. I got choked up watching and saying goodbye to the Trop. We were only in there once, but like you said, it’s Vegas and history. Thanks for covering the closing. ❤❤
So sad 😢
🎉😅 I stayed there last time I was I Las Vegas ❤
Thanks Marc, a great tribute to an Icon of Vegas.....
Thanks for the shout out!!! So glad you ate ate the VCC inauguration restaurant for the last time! Great Job!!!
Joe with the Oakland A's hat, LOL> Whoa that shot at 4:57 is the best! The end of an era marks a new beginning... 😻😻👍👍
This video made me sad….a lot of memories since the early 80’s…. Thanks for bringing it to us💕
As someone that just even moved here, I hate seeing classic places shut down. I think it why I enjoy Fremont so much there so much history there. There so many other places they could put a stadium. The "A's" Hat ; that was COLD !!.....Thank you , Marc...Terrific Video !....
So many memories of the Trop. Thanks for the solid vid. You rock as always.

Love Love Loved Marc. Sad day for sure for Vegas. Have many memories of the Trop.

I remember going there with my dad when I was a kid he considered it a local spot. Thank you for sharing.
What is sad day for the strip the Tropicana was legendary. Thanks so much Marc.
Aww this made me cry. I had fun at Tropicana. I've always said Tropicana was a beautiful hotel. Never stayed, but it was the first hotel I visited in Vegas. Just an empty shell now. It would have been great if they just remodeled the outside. Great video 💜🤗
Very sad. All my favorites are gone. The Trop, Riviera, Aladdin, Lady Luck. I miss them all.
I hope you kept the Robert Irvine receipt, final night, it might have been cheaper to go to Irvine, California for dinner.
I’ve watched a couple videos on the last day and yours really got my feelers. 😢 Sad to see so many historical casinos closing down.
Thank you for the video. I have some really wonderful memories i made staying there several times. Goodbye Tropicana thanks for the memories
3:04 What a backstabbing steaming pile!🤣
I had seen you live on Turn it Up. You're a great videographer, and I appreciate the video. ❤ Damn though. It's like going to a wake seeing it go. Too many iconic casinos gone forever. 😢

Humans and nostalgics. Such a painful combination.
Another great video Marc, thanks for sharing this one.
Sahara & Flamingo are the only 1950s original named casinos left on The Strip.
Not the A's hat.....man that just mean.
Great video Marc. Tropicana was always one of my faves bc of its history and decor. I wasxhoping to see it before it was closed but alas, I chose the wrong week to go to LV.

Hey Marc and it saddens me to see the old girl go by the wayside. My Mom and I stayed there many times.
Wow almost 67 years standing..That leaves 1950s The Sahara..I believe.

It's giving off a Titanic vibe ⛴️
This is it the last hurrah for the casino.
This is really sad. The first time I went to Vegas I stayed at the Tropicana.
Great video mark. Coming Monday. I’m bring my son from Wynn all the way to trip to show the closing and the history.

Are they going to relocate Robert Irvine's, do you know?
I hope so. I always wanted to try it. Hi Cat❤
Awesome video marc

Are you live on Fremont Street next Tuesday night? I’m Bronson to steakhouse at Golden nugget and I want to holler at you!
Great video🎉
Hi Video Bob
❤
Sad❤
All in the name of progress. History gone.
What is going to happen to the stained glass ceiling?
I'm shcoked at the few people that are in there on the last night!!??
Did you buy couple of meals or did you buy the hotel?
LOL, exactly
Slowly getting rid of everything that makes las vegas fun and unique.
Was there last week to say goodbye 😭
Vegas is losing it , piece by piece...It's gonna become just a regular city. Sad but true.
OMG NO
Sad to see this classic place go... The A's are a terrible team and will be still even in Vegas. The owner is as cheap as dirt !! Sincerely, John Acquavella

Oakland is taking over Vegas. Next thing you know Nevada will be California 2.
Am sorry for your loss, but have other old casino's there,so is what it is,Las Vegas, give it a minute,it will create again.

Well produced. B roll shots were excellent. Great job!
What kind of Airplane Marc? 🤣🤣🤣
So long to that dirty place, rooms were so gross
I think it’s sad to see it go. There have been rumors it was going to be taken down for years so it seems like they were just waiting for a lucrative opportunity.
Just a shame that this is going away
Thanks Marc for being there on closing night. Have you heard, will someone save the stainglass ceiling over the tables. Sure hope so.

This was so sad to watch.... really upsetting knowing it's done and over.. 😔
First trip to Vegas we saw Folies Bergere at the Trop (boots!). Walked through last fall knowing it was the last time.

It was back in 2021 when we met The Food Cat there
Maybe they can rebuild a Tropicana a cross from Orleans on Tropicana on that 18 acer 😮
I was a lifeguard there during high school for 3 seasons 99-2001 great times
I’ve never been to Vegas but that makes me sad. What will they do with all the nice things? I would love to have a section of the stained glass! So sad!
I loved there pool I would just go there any time I wanted they never asked if I was staying there they were cool
18:34 😂😂
So sad to see glad me and my wife stayed there our last trip to Vegas Trop is going to be missed for sure by a lot of people another iconic resort gone in Vegas sad 😢
Black Tap in the Venetian has an amazing Wagyu burger !
Another great collaboration video, you guys are great together. A fitting video to the end of an era
Great video Marc. Thank you.
