It is time for him to explain why so many Muslims and not Islam leaving Muslim countries and going to the West.
Many Muslim countries have been engulfed in war and many of them flee for their lives to the West because the West has a better life. In as much as your point is impertinent to the subject under discussion but you deserve some answers.
However, one of the best proposition to ponder on and conduct your own research, I recommend you search online to see the people leaving other religions and coming to Islam. Also, flip the question around to see those leaving Islam to other religions. In order to do justice to the both sides of the coin, look deeply at the educational background, status in life and the stories of those leaving either Islam or other religions to Islam.
