We empty our fleshly needs and desires out on the narrow path. We ask to be emptied and filled back with our Lords' will, His ways, His thoughts, and His love. Its a lonely path at first, crucifying your flesh, and allowing Jesus to be the potter, molding us into what His will is for us. I can see you are on the narrow path....embrace it.

When I first got saved I thought it was going to be easy but it got harder. I got attacked and was confused. When I first got saved three weeks later I went into psychosis. I lost everything. Job ,house,car,friends,everything. Isolated for years after and started healing. Look back and god removed all my stressors. I have trouble now staying on path. Backsliding all the time but feel conviction from the Holy Spirit. Then realized we are never going to perfect. I hate when I sin and do it anyway and get mad. I have to stop this cycle.god bless all

You are spiritual rather than religious. You are one with God so your relationship with him is sacred to you. Picture your body as a vessel like your car and God is always riding shotgun with you through every decision you make and every action you take. I had been in Pentecostal churches most of my christian life (40 yrs am pushing 70 now) just be careful, I found these churches to be following a different Jesus, a New Apostolic Reformation and I am staying away from them, research yourself, (Four Square, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyers, Joel, and many more).
Last summer I decided to read the bible...for a few chapters left maybe it's one of those things that take a lifetime to understand
@DennisD-yv4ys the whole process of sanctification takes a lifetime. It's a continual refinement towards the image of God. That means that you embody the characteristics of God. The Holy Spirit is given to you when you truly believe in Jesus Christ, and you accept him as your savior. It truly is worth the pursuit.

It is good that you have a personal relationship with God and are working it out on your own. But at some point, you want to be connected to a body. 1 Corinthians 12 lists the Body of Christ, and each person is a member and has a part to serve. I did things independently for years and later joined a body, which helped me grow spiritually.

Right about the divorce, me 18 yrs of marriage with a step son and they shot me in the back and she divorced me, it has over 10 yrs now but I try to keep following Christ, even attended some real back stabbing churches, so just alone and it has been some of the hardest walk with God in my life, not even sure if I will make the rapture.
God gave us this time to share with him. Its just harder to sleep at night.
