    This video is an upgrade video of the 2in1 circular saw slide guide.
    I was often asked in the comments if there was a panel-saw video.
    At first glance, the 2in1 circular saw slide guide doesn't look like a panel saw, so I decided to edit the video and republish it.

      @@aneroidlake7521 You have to note that Makita makes 2 types of tools, 1 type of tools are made and only sold in Japan, and 1 type of tools for the rest of the planet, also most of the tools sold in Japan are effectively made in Japan, I don't have a clue as to WHY, but that is the way it goes, now if you want a tool from Japan, you need to have a contact there that will buy it, and then ships it to you.

    What amazes me the most in this video is the cutting depth that seems to be there up to the cutting plate! Indeed, we can see a pile of clamps and template boards but the machine never seems to hit them when cutting! I wonder what is the cutting depth of this tool and also the useful cutting depth remaining with the use of this system? In addition, I also wonder if we can place any type of circular saw or only the same model of Makita?

    Gerçekten de harika aparatlar tasarlıyor ve üretiyorsun. Her bir detay üzerinde hassas çalışıyorsun. Tebrik ederim... Yalnız, bu tasarımlardan hiç biri ekonomik malzemelerle üretilmiş değil. Hatta bir çoğu, mobilya sektöründe satılan aparatlardan daha maliyetli. Bunları kendimiz inşa edeceksek, bizim açımızdan avantajlı olması gerekir. Bence maharetlerinizi minimum imkanlar dahilinde, nasıl gösterebileceğinize odaklanmalısınız.

    Amazing work! Would be cool to see changeable heads for this - something like a router head would be handy for rabbit and dado joints.

    • @paulweston8184
      @paulweston8184 3 роки тому +1

      An interchangeable head would be a project within its self trying to accommodate the differences in fastening a router as opposed to a circular saw. Seems like it would be easier just to make multiple passes than to take the time to remove the saw and replace it with a router and then set it up for the correct depth with the right bit and then align it perfectly. Then you would have to take it back out when you are done just to reattach the circular saw and line it back up at a precise 90. There is so much measuring precision work that has to be done that you just don't see in this video. Sure, looks easy but you are only seeing .01% of the work. The other 99.99% of painstaking preparation is edited out.

    I can't believe it! The man finally makes an appearance! I have been curious about how you made this machine. Not financially practical though. Not when one can buy a table saw, which provides much more versatility, for around the same price. Let me see you do this build with materials that the common man has access to and can afford. Industrial grade linear pillow blocks, precision aluminum tooling plate, and precision linear motion shafts aren't within the budget of most common woodworkers.

    • @otallono

      different tools. this is safer than a table saw, can't kick back and if it does it's not sending wood flying your direction with deadly force

    • @BillCoale
      @BillCoale 2 роки тому +2

      I too would love to see a version of this, made with more affordable and readily available parts. But to be fair, he has never claimed his builds to be a way to get this equipment cheaper than he can buy it. Only that he built it himself / DIY. It's often said that no one ever got into woodworking (for enjoyment) to save money.
      Besides, not everyone has room for a table saw. This panel saw would be perfect for those of us who have severely limited space, and I haven't seen anything like it in home centers or tool catalogues.
