you're not wrong they have a lot of kpop in them. even produced and promoted in korea and have been the subject on korean shows but they do classify themselves as Xpop because they want to accepted all over. their producer was in a kpop group and is half korean as well. He wanted to bring all aspects of Kpop, Pop and Jpop into his vision of XGALX the company of XG. i think knew a lot of kpop fans and or the kpop system would have issue accepting an all Japanese group to be classified into the kpop category. They even talk about it in their documentary Xtra Xtra so they didn't go into it blindly.

Man, beyond the music, I just love seeing fathers(I assume that's your daughter, lol) being positive role models and spending time with their kids. Too many dads feel like they can't just hang out with their kids, especially their daughters, but it's so important. We have to show the next generation by example, because if we don't, they'll get their example from somewhere else. Much love, brother.

When they first debuted they were rejected because these Xtraordinary Girls are Japanese. The K-pop Netz have backed off and they😂have continually grown their fan base and I’m proud of them. The members are very talented, kind and gracious. They even read and speak Korean since they trained for five years between Japan and South Korea.
