Several of those driving routes remind me of the lane which led from the highway back to my house. Every year when we got the most dust from that lane, my father would go out and what are the strip in front of our house with the garden hose. Every political season Dad would petition the county judge or whoever might respond to put some paving in front of our house. After years of asking he did get some all the way from the highway past our house and down the hill in the lane. Fortunately, there were no heavy trucks to break that up.
