Sounds like January was a great mix of books for you-always a win when a new all-time favorite sneaks onto the list! We Used to Live Here sounds like exactly the kind of psychological horror that sticks with you, and now I’m extra curious about what made it so divisive. Also, fully agree on Starship Troopers-there’s interesting sci-fi in there, but the heavy-handed politics can drag things down. Excited to see what February holds for you!
You sold me so hard on We Used to Live Here in your weekly updates that I made it my first book of February, and ooooh dang I am already so hooked!! The atmosphere and unsettling looming sense of dread is so well done, can't wait to read on. Also don't mind me cackling over your Edge of Tomorrow cover creation, especially in combination with you saying it "fell off" about halfway through 🤣🤣
I’m sure you’re going to love The Lonesome Crown. It’s a series that has stuck with me for much longer than I thought it would and currently a favourite
You sold me on Forgetting Moon at your end of year video and this video is making me even more eager to jump into the series now! Will definitely be part of my next book haul.
You sold me on The Blackest Heart with that scene haha. I mean I own it and have always planned on reading it but dang now I know what to look forward too haha.
Been kinda struggling to read this month, but We Used to Live Here is going on my February TBR, for better or for worse. Your question on Wera's stream made me curious.. What's your favorite eeveelution? Surely not Flareon? 😁
Man, I'm not sure I want to read We Used to Live Here now lol. I think I want to give it a shot though. I never got too much in the comic book side of Superman, but I've been trying to add things to a list. I am a huge fan of that character though.
Love the drawings LOL ... okay off topic. What microphone system are you using? It looks like Hollyland, but I wasn't sure. I'm interested in replacing mine and I like the look of that one. I've seen a few people mention "We Used to Live Here" and I'm going to definitely try it out. I love a good horror!!! :D
Hi Tom! If you don’t make much reading progress throughout the week (e.g. you read multiple chonkers), then the weekly updates may feel like rewatching the same video all over again for the audience. From this month’s weekly updates I already learned by heart what you were going to say about The Blackest Heart, Fugitive Prince and that Susanna Clarke’s book, and in this January recap you just repeated it all again. To me, your regular viewer, it indicates that I should probably start skipping your weekly videos and instead only stick to the monthly wrap-up. Or maybe you could improve scripting your videos to avoid saying the same thing about a particular book in each video to keep it fresh even if you don’t progress much.
Thank you for the feedback! I do fear some of that repetitive nature especially with the longer books. I'm going to try and keep them fresh with some of the other stuff in them like manga, what im watching and some of the other stuff I go over. Its a fine line that im trying to figure out. Also with months like January I dont think it will make sense to do a weekly update right after a monthly wrap up. Since the January Wrap up happened on Friday im not sure there is any point for me to do a weekly update this sunday. Thanks again for the feedback while I kind of get the hang of them.
Love seeing you gush about a new fav!
Its nice to have one after such a long time

If you end up checking out We Used To Live Here let me know!

lol glad you thought the cover was as funny as I did. Also love hearing that for We Used To Live Here. Keep me updated on it!
@@TomOrange will definitely let you know my feelings as I go!
man i'm so glad i found your channel through the algorithm! you're a joy to watch!
Glad you’re here
Dang-glad blackest heart ripped and I suspected it was going to. Just gets me more excited to get back into the series
Yeah man the so far the series has just been bad ass
Yaay, to new 5 stars
Its always super nice!
You never cease to make me realize how narrow my reading scope is lol
The reading variety is great until I think about how I still haven't read stuff like Suneater lol
I’m so happy you had that experience with we used to live here, as readers, that is what we always hope for when picking up a book
Its been a while for me which makes it even better
I’m sure you’re going to love The Lonesome Crown. It’s a series that has stuck with me for much longer than I thought it would and currently a favourite
Im very excited to read it. I did notice its a super long book
You sold me on Forgetting Moon at your end of year video and this video is making me even more eager to jump into the series now! Will definitely be part of my next book haul.
Love to hear that!
i enjoyed we used to live here but i wanted more from the ending
Funny enough 99% of the time that ending would not have worked for me but for whatever reason it did in this one.
Since you like young superman, you'd probably love the tv-series Smallville, if you don't mind older series.
I watched some of that when it was originally airing.
You sold me on The Blackest Heart with that scene haha. I mean I own it and have always planned on reading it but dang now I know what to look forward too haha.
Glad I could sell it!

Please let me know what you think of it! My favorite is probably Jolteon but it’s really close with Espeon

I think you should give it a try! I think it will be very devises but to me well worth it.
It was a good month in terms of reading. I read 2037 pages
thats awesome!
Hey Tom new viewer - is there a reason you don’t do tiktok as well?
Love the content!
No reason in particular! Honestly have never used tiktok.
@ same you given me the confidence to try and I just think it would be easier to start with shorter content. Your an inspiration! Thank you
@@TheBookConsigliere you should go for it! You already have a great user name

Thanks! and yes it is the Hollyland mark 2. Ill add a link to the description of the video to the one I got to make it easy to find for you!
@@TomOrange That would be great and really appreciate it.
@@coffee_cookies_books its there below the books!
@ that’s great. Thanks 😊
Good to know that one book is horror. I hate horror so I'll never read it.
Glad I could fill you in
@TomOrange haha thanks! 😆
