making a CAPCUT velocity edit! (+ comparing it to ae velocity)

Some tips!
For flash:
Overlay>Stock>white picture>slice>overlay
For strobe:
Add a random letter>Make it black>zoom the text in completely till it covers the whole screen>lower the opacity>animations>random flash
For velocity:
Slow down the clip>Export>Import the slowed down clip>Split it at the beat>split it a bit later>speed up the split
(Hope this makes sense)
Beats:
Add audio>Click it>Find the category “beats”>Turn on automatic beats
This will give you yellow dots on the audio, those dots are the beats

Also use keyframes, and graphs! This counts for any editing app though pfft
The graphs i usually use for moving clips are are ease in 1, ease out 1, ease out 3 & flow 2 but i also make custom ones a lot

For shakes:
This might not look good for some clips but it’s what I usually use - Rebound swing > Speed 100, Size 100, Intensity 0 > Make it as long as the clip > Add a keyframe at the start and somewhere in the middle or end > (2nd keyframe) Speed 0, size 0, intensity 0

as a person who uses capcut i can tell you that capcut DOES NOT steal the edits it’s the people who have an account who upload it, the capcut creators DONT steal the edit I promise it’s just the people who are signed in

I love the fact that I have been using CapCut for almost a year now and my velocity is so bad while Lauren never really uses it and she’s good at CapCut velocity that just goes to show how good of an editor Lauren is.

As a Capcut editor I was quite surprised with the way Lauren did the velocity, I do it so differently but I think I would like to try the way she did it!!!

Same i do it where i slow it to 0.3 and then export, add the clip and on each beat speed to 5x
Lauren is literally the best after effects editor by far (other than Vivian ofc). I love how she still gives us videos despite being in college (yes ik she's home for the summer but she could be spending time with family instead of filming) I literally love her so much. Btw if you want flashes, go to overlay and go to stock videos and press black or white (or colors you have to add it yourself) make the pic as long as you want. Then click on the pic and go to blend, then press soft. Then go to animations and press fade out in the out section. HOPE IT HELPS 😊😊

As an capcut editor i can def say that u did so good like always❤, Capcut is a great app for editors and it helps u a lot by giving tips, tons of updates, effects, ect. Capcut is really good and the app itself is not "perfect" but the company is working every day to make it better by taking advice from the users (and, or) users from different apps.
Tips!:
For making smooth velocity!
1.Make the video 0.3x and make it "better quality" then export!
2..extract your sound and click at your sound and click "beats" and then press "add beats" whenever you heard a beats
3.once your done, point the first beat at the line and click "split" now split the video before the beats! And make it 5.0x and at the first beat make it 1.0x, repeat it in every beats!
And your done! ❤
This has got to be one of the most difficult ways to do velo on CapCut and yet Lauren did an amazing job
it's actually really good-
Another (easier) way to do velocity on Capcut:
-slow down your video to about 0.5x
-export it
-mark your beats
-split the video every 2 beats and put flash in
For the coloring of the beginning of the video I would suggest you use BW 3 filter! First split the video where the beat drops and then in the beginning click the video and scroll and it will say “Filters” click on it and it will show up the filter called “BW 3” click it and you can adjust how much you want the filter to be. I hope it helps!!

so the trick for capcut velocities is you first have to make your clip 0.3x speed and for "smooth" make it "better quality." then you can go in with the curved speeds; it's my go-to way to make a velocity

If you want flashes on CAPCUT, go to overlay, click like insert, stock photos, chose the white one and size it to the whole area then click blend and chose soft, then go to animations then click ‘out’ and chose fade out, and then apply it to the whole overlay then that’s it

This is definitely a different way to do velocity’s. First slow your clip down to 0.5x-0.2x (i recommend 0.2x) and click better quality and then export. Then I add the clip we just slowed down and then add all the beats after that split on the second beat and put speed to 100x and do the same for all the beats. I have a tutorial on my page if you’re interested❤️
