I'm so sorry you had to go through this. No one deserves such treatment. You showed strength by seeking help, and I hope you find the support and healing you need. You deserve so much better.
Good story Narrator. She and her son deserved better as all women and children in those cases are. That's not to say that women can't be abusive to their spouses and children. I'm happy she and her son got out of that predicament. Thank you for sharing this story with us and may all those who are abused find the same justice as Maria found for her and her son Lucas regardless of Country.
What a heartbreaking yet uplifting journey. 😭 Maria’s love for Lucas gave her the strength to break free and fight for a better future. The shelter scene where the staff and other women rallied around her felt like a warm embrace for both her and Lucas. 🫂 And Judge Ramirez’s words? "Not in my courtroom, not on my watch"-goosebumps. 🙌 This story is such a powerful reminder that no matter how hard things get, there’s always a chance for a new beginning. Maria and Lucas deserved their happy ending. ❤✨
No estás sola.
Its right for the wife to spend the savings to save her sons life.monry can be recovered but life cant be restored when its gone.how narrow minded is the husband so engrossed with money.
I don't wonder why I declined to pledge" obedience" in my marriage vows. If 'love, honour, trust' didn't cover the issue, why bother with marriage at all.?😅 and yes, it worked.🎉🎉🎉
This story was set in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the justice over there is not as good as in countries like USA and England. She could get the child support, not compensation or alimony. Sometimes the Brazilian justice frustrates me a lot. I am glad I live in England and I am married to an English man
*Check around the **19:15** mark (nineteen minutes, 15 seconds into the video.) Maria's pro-bono Attorney discusses seeking financial support from her abusive husband, as well as a **_PERMANENT_** restraining order against Daniel. Also, at the time on video of about **20:30**, when Daniel verbally chastises Maria outside the Courtroom, the Attorney told Maria that Daniel's "violation" of "the restraining order" was **_GOOD_** FOR HER CASE! (Somehow, I suspect you're a "multitasker," as am I. It's very easy to miss these types of details when one multitasks!* *(😳⬅️ Me!)* *EDIT: At the end, too, in the Judges summation and ruling, there's discussion of support & the permanent restraining ruling.*
It’s possible that those aspects were addressed satisfactorily off-screen or resolved amicably, which might be why they weren’t highlighted in the story. 😊
@@dixietenbroeck8717 It was mentioned in court. As far as being amicably I doubt that would have been the case since his caustic remarks to his wife that the judge called him on. No, he was an arrogant, self-serving man. Maybe with anger management he'll get better. Who knows.
*ANY & ALL words spoken in Portuguese are mispronounced. (This **_IS_** a Brazilian tale, isn't it? It doesn't sound much like Spanish.) VERY annoying, especially as it's obviously "read" by an uncaring, & poorly "trained" computer programme. Wish they'd simply have these tales read by **_REAL_** HUMANS!*
@@dixietenbroeck8717 One of my favorite female Narrators on "Gallery of Stories" is real she has the most beautiful English voice I believe I've ever heard. Also being a human or AI doesn't mean mistakes aren't and can't be made. :)
That husband would not have let her work while he stayed home and took care of the kid. That's what controlling husbands do! It could be the other way around too (I know of such a case, but it is extremely rare). Money is power! Even in a home environment. That is why women should never give up their careers to become trad wives. They have everything to lose if things turn sour.

This story broke my heart but ended with such hope. It’s a reminder that kindness and sacrifice can turn even the darkest moments into light!
The judge should've throw him in jail.

Good story.
Good story. This teaches what steps and possibilities are out there ❤❤❤
Wonderful story😊
If this were a true story, I feel I would have to help this woman. She is so brave.
Any man who hits a woman is a coward! The only reason he'd be looking for her would be to talk her into dropping charges against him. What a LOSER
You really have an incredible ability to make everything interesting. 🌟

Glad.she.win.the.case❤
Is these tale for real?😢
You can put a British accent on AI, but that doesn’t change the fact that it pronounces many words incorrectly.
The zero mention of compensation, alimony or child support leaves a gaping hole in the story. Why?

Bits repeated after the court case.
3 times so far!
Please don’t use piped in music. It’s hard to listen to the story over music.
beginning 37:25 a duplication of previous script ugh!
Get a human who can pronounce ALL the words correctly 😮
Why does AI narratives always repeat parts of the story?
Maybe they lost their place in the story……
Stop complaining
Horrible
British accent.
Mi amor not pronounced right
Correct! And (corrido) should be (Querido)

AI is awful. 🫤
I disagree i thought it was quite good and you have a knee jerk reaction
