- Gris Dior was originally released in 2013 under the name of Gris Montaigne. I smelled it when it was first released and I don't think there was a significant reformulation, if any at all.

Hi Yve, thanks so much for this review on Gris Dior I wasn't sure of buying it. I wanted the Gris Montaigne instead of Gris Dior because of the strawberry and Jasmine notes but now you mentioned the strawberry note in Gris Dior I'm thinking go ahead and buy. Other reviews on Gris Dior didn't mention the strawberry note. I was even thinking of mixing Rouge Trafalgar and Gris Dior for a Rose/ Mossy/Berry Explosion😁
100% agree with you re: cold berry tone. I love this one.
I've actually only smelled it on others and it really is lovely. Minimalist type of fragrance, but done reasonably well. Blessings to you and the growing babe! 🍼

I love Gris Dior! I am a Californian and it reminds me of springtime in Paris! Elegant is definitely the word and yet like you said, it is not trying too hard, won’t offend.
Just reading the notes when I first heard of it i assumed I'd like it. But of course notes are just notes and How the composition was made, it wears on each individual's skin, etc... are what really matter. Still have yet to get my nose on it, so thanks for the reminder!
And yes, I agree re the charging spots are taken advantage of too often, which matters more as time passes such that electric vehicles get more and more prevalent.
Thanks Missreia! Gris Dior is a great of example of how the scent captures much more than what is listed in the note breakdown. Definitely one I'd recommend sampling/testing out first!

Just got my Gris Dior yesterday. First time spraying it, the patchouli was very strong. But after that there is more of the powdery woody fragrance coming out. Love it, love it!
