Cory, new revenue stream idea: record your laughs and sell them for sitcom canned laugh tracks! (And then rewrite the sitcoms to be 1% as clever as your channel and they'll be worth watching and laughing at.)
Someone: What kind of music do you listen to? Me: Heist music Btw I LOVE when the flute kicks in. I don't know why but I love this type of funky heist/car chase music so much
Love this series! Whoever is doing the video editing is killing it. Cory, did you happen to do a video shoot of the performance of Lee from this album? SICK track, would love to have seen y'all playing that one.
Always tend to prefer your mix, they got a lot of life and dynamics. The wongnotes album tends to sound "to clean" and polish. Which make sens with the show concept. But your mixes are straight fires !
Thank you so much for doing this one! I've listened to this track a fair few times, I have a funk section in one of my demo's that I wanted to flesh out, but didn't really know what I was doing - I love what the percussion and flute add to the vibe! (Sidenote:- It surprises me that you didn't realise that the Bari usually follows the Alto in a big band arrangement though!) Edit: Doh! I just remembered that in Drop2 or Drop4, the Bari doesn't follow the Alto at all.)
Interesting concept for a show. I think your audio has got better on subsequent episodes, but I couldn't hear what the drummer and horn player were saying very well. I like getting to hear some of the tracks solo'd for a while. cool
Cory, (if you read this), saw you at the Vic Theater in Chicago last Friday....OUTSTANDING music, showmanship, energy and fun. Does anyone know if the Madison Square Garden Vulfpeck concert can be purchased on Vinyl? I saw some places where you could buy it for hundreds of dollars! Just wondering.
The melody of the imperial march is actually played on the trombone I think? Also I really would love to see one of these or a video of the recording of Lee. It's absolutely my favourite song of the album!
NEVER forget the Beatles did a mouth trumpet section on Lady Madonna (w/ a live sax) -- honestly with you it would be badass. It'd never REPLACE the Hornheads but it'd be a cool flavor for one song!
I took the bait on pausing the horn chart… except it’s all in the same key. I’d have to transpose for each horn beside the trombone. I guess I’ll just buy it 😜
actually I think this song sounds closer to straight up funk than big band swing. Its still very good, but in my mind its not exactly mission accomplished.
I love how hyped Cory is about everyone in his band. He seems to want to see everyone get their moment.
These are the best videos on UA-cam
Corey has the most infectious laughter ever
Man has that Gilbert Gottfried laugh on LOCKDOWN
Corey's laugh is priceless!

This is some of the best stuff on UA-cam... 😂
cory i love ya! sometimes id wish youd go more in depth on mix stuff and your effects chains and techniques
Can't believe this PT 32 inputs limitation still exists... Is there a reason you wouldn't choose to record in Logic at that point?
Sad trombone funeral march would be LOL funny
This'll sound silly but seeing you use Logic is mad inspiring cause it's all I know how to use so thank you
5:48 I’m crying 😭 😂😂🤣
That edit was gold
Like in the old days on 32 track tape machine💜😉
golden!
this is high quality content
Brutal!!!
I took the bait on pausing the horn chart… except it’s all in the same key. I’d have to transpose for each horn beside the trombone. I guess I’ll just buy it 😜
9:16 That reminds me of wind parts that say "stagger breathe"... You know damn well I'm gonna try to do that in one breath if you write that.
I feel like Cory looking into the camera with that smug looks as he's about to say "that's funky!" could be a meme
20:18 Thank me later
The face at 14:00 says "you're fired". Luckily enough he could (barely?) hold it back.
was the amazing flute solo improv or written?
Delete That t-shirt reveal - priceless!
