Oh, this was nothing. Checkout the Strike Eagle Desert Storm episode. I think between doing the intro and the next time I spoke, it was something like 80 minutes.
I just can not stop watching once Starbaby is back, irrespective of the length of the episode. Steve, I watch most of the content from a half dozen prolific mil aviation channels. There is a lot of good content on all of them.I watch ALL episodes of 10%True however. It is without parallel in my opinion. Thanks yet again, to Starbaby and yourself.
On a slightly different note, how about you two switch seats sometime soon and we have an episode about Steve's journey to present times. I would love to understand how your interest in Mil aviation started and hear some stories to describe the details of how it eventually led to the channel. I think that the established rapport and Mike's engaging narrative style would make for great episode. If you are willing, then I think it will please a wide portion of the established audience.
@@ianclaproth3675 I have proposed this and with enough pressure I think Steve will do it. He's the kind of guy who says "But I don't have any good stories" and then tells three of them to illustrate the point. Or not.
As a Kiwi, I can only be proud that Commonwealth comic books inspired the legend of Starbaby. I'm also old enough to remember some of those comics. These two interviews also provide useful info for the upcoming DCS Phantom II.
Shepherds pie is a legendarily wholesome and delicious dish. I know British food can be a lot of fried brown, but as an American southerner I will admit the brits left a massive impression on our cuisine. That impression IMO did improve it.
Address the phrase "Meet your maker in a Martin-Baker;" hopefully that simulator is inert... I was an F-15 B&D Crew Chief at Nellis and only spent time around the ACES-II seat. We had F-4Es at the FWS, but I only eve did EOR checks on them, as the MLG door scars on my back will attest to 40+ years later. I had a couple of friends in the F-4 AMU, and I was friends with Cecil Jones who was a WSO Instructor and we were in Civil Air Patrol together.
Another high-quality product from Steve and Starbaby. Thanks so much for your time and effort on this, and all the other excellent videos. I'm hooked. Okay, now I have to get out my 1/48 Hasegawa F-4G kit.
Starbaby is a raconteur par excellence. I could listen to him all night. Thank you Steve for the video, and to Starbaby for taking time to talk to us. He mentions a Captain Coolahan. I really hope his call sign was hot lips. 😀
Another "newby" haze was to was rest a coin on one`s forehead while tilting the head up. Then sticking a funnel below in one`s waistband, then trying to drop the coin into the funnel. The object was to catch the coin. The real object was to get someone else to try it and while they were looking up ,to pour a beverage into the funnel and see how fast the "mark" reacts.Great fun.

Starbaby rocks, thanks both for the fun and the content. A question, can you ask to starbaby if he in some.opportunity even considerate help to develope a F4G for dcs or other simulation platform?
Probably not. As I understand it, it would require a substantial rework of the DCS missile system, and I know better than to get involved with any form of software development.
thanks for answer Starbaby. I hope that one day we can have a not necessarily realistic or deep approximation of the work of the EWO and thus also of the EW and the work of JAMMING aircraft.
