We supported the local boys and girls club & BlackBusinesses {Black Vanilla} With a little community work The city of Newburgh, which is a diamond in the ruff, can succeed and work for the people who live there. I remember asking some time ago about the signs on some of the buildings with the letter X on them. Somebody said that they were on condemned buildings to let firefighters know about the danger there. A while ago I saw an episode of Chicago Fire that might have explained it. It seems that condemned buildings with this sign let the firefighters know where to stop to make sure that the places are boarded up properly and nobody's squatting there.

My grandparents, uncle aunts etc lived in Newburgh and some still do. I recall living there at Stewart Gardens apartments in 1967. Mom stayed near parents while our dad was one his first tour of Vietnam. TMI but was fitted for my first bra at a little boutique downtown lol there really is a procedure beside just strap🤣

2011 was the death of the Latin kings in Newburgh a good amount of bloods got caught as well In Newburgh unlike nyc there isn't woo cho etc or any of the complex bronx block gangs. The big western big name gangs control smaller ones. It was Latin kings and bloods but theyr mostly gone so only some smaller new gangs exist
Newburgh was pretty scary in the 80's, looks like it hasn't changed much . Me and my friends would go there for auto parts, then test them at the Landing. "Wink Wink"

I can tell this place is starting to get gentrified. you can see all the signs in this video. to what extent is the question. I was in newburgh in 2019, and it looked much worse. So many people moved because of the pandemic. it's crazy. I thought gentrification was out of control before. Now it's time for all the small cities and hour or more from the big cities to get some gentrification. Lots of those buildings look like they're being renovated. They did some neighborhoods in boston so fast, that some of the new locals dont even believe you that that neighborhood was a hood 3 years ago. Newburgh isn't very big either. it wouldnt take long. You just need enough interest., especially now that so many of those rich people dont even have to commute.
