Did you ever find out what happened here, cause I think the metal of the model threw things off due to thermal conductivity which made the resin set at different 'speeds' creating these 'rifts' which indeed do look like the warp field collapsing as shown in the films/series imo
I was a bit confused until I saw the caption "5 YEARS LATER". I was sitting here thinking to my self, "I swear he's done this before". It looks just as good today as it did 5 years ago. Thanks for the years of entertainment Brother Ben. I dont often comment but I also didnt realize how fast time was goiing by. I appreciate you!

As a fellow wood turner it's always good to review things from the past.
I got started into woodturning as a bit of therapy from the day job. It helped to be able to finish something without all the interruptions. I've been retired for 7 years and at times have to go look at my wood piles to decide what lucky piece of wood is next. I'm in the process of making 100 of a certain item for a craft show in November and have to be careful not to burn out and give up entirely.
I am jealous of the beautiful wood you have to work with and am amazed at your ideas.
Don't give up on your selves and do what you can each day. As the days go by they do and will get easier.
Ben, you are a really amazing guy. Literally, you showed me that a man is no less of a man if he has emotion and wears his heart on his sleeve. You showed me that its an actual strength. I hope you and the family are doing better.

Hi Ben and family, just adding my support to the pile. I’m a mental health first aider, and am in grief with a significant loss myself just now. You’re right to support each other because you’re both in shock, and there’s a thing called delayed shock/ suspended shock. So you’ll both be exhausted as you process all of the complexities of what’s happened. That’s why you’ll be so tired but wonder why “because I haven’t done anything all day”. You are: it takes a great deal of mental work and emotional labour to process trauma. Listen to all your supporters here, Ben. We will still be here for you to pick up, still here to watch the old films and cheer you through the comments. But right now, your own mental health, nervous system and emotional needs have to be your priority. And as far as coming up with project ideas, I can think of thousands of simple cool ones for you, and so can your community. As the days pass, you’re going to go through waves of intensity as you deal with the aftermath of the trauma. I wish your distressed loved one everything they need for their recovery, and for the family who are shellshocked and bewildered all of the holding you need. Remember Ben, it’s no-ones fault. No-one should be thinking “if only” thoughts such as …have seen something, said something, done something. End of life thoughts are so very complicated and personal. So try and avoid cycling your thoughts about personal responsibility that you believe you had. Eat, rest and talk. Love Becca.

I remember this. One of the first videos of yours I watched. My kids were teaching me how to use UA-cam and like and subscribe. Wasn’t the consensus that it might have been air in the toy escaping causing the awesome happy accident. I think the red motorcycle was the first one I saw of yours. Big warm Texas hugs to you all❤
