Wilson’s World: The First Day of School at Devonshire Elementary 2017

Wilson was at Devonshire Elementary School on Barrington Drive early this morning as the students and teachers arrived ready for their first day of the new school year. Circle K greeted the teachers with coffee and the kids with pencils to get them started. Wilson had a chance to meet Heidi, who was excited about her first day of kindergarten.
But the school year wasn’t all that was new for the students. Thanks to a partnership with Classroom Central and UTC Aerospace the great people with Two Men & a Truck delivered new backpacks for all of the students. Devonshire’s new Principal Brooke Hough joined Wilson as volunteers arrived to help distribute the backpacks.
Chris Blocker with Hendrick BMW of North Lake talked with Wilson about their participation in the Hendrick Cares program where Hendrick dealerships partner with 13 title one schools, including Devonshire, to make sure the kids and teachers get the items and support they need.
