I have always thought the way Hartnet breaks the blade off of that cutter was the coolest thing.
Yeah that's a nice move. Those things don't come off quite easily.
@@huaijiutv lol true
Ex long time convict, mercenary, soldier, or some survivalist enthusiast could pull that off. But a high school kid is a little too odd.
It's a movie about aliens, so anything goes.
@@gc99289 Given the circumstances, a well built highschool senior facing death, a lot of adrenaline kicking in helps.
yeah like use anything like a weapon
I love that Zeek and Casey hate eachother but some secondes later they don’t hesite to help eachother when they are in danger
That's high school, teens will always side with teens against teachers at the end of the day
@@seventhsteel1415 You..You're not wrong. ;)
@@seventhsteel1415you ain't wrong bro
I feel sad that this flick is totally disregarded, even by the people that made it...it truly is a latter-day example of the B-Movie -howl-from-your-seat experience, and it deserves to be recognized as such. The fact that it then has the teen movie social archetypes and drama mixed in to the broth just makes the end result all the more spicy...and chock full of guilty pleasures
This movie kicks ass. Love it. The only people who don't like it are idiots who always want their horror movies to have dumb ass endings where everyone dies or the bad guy or monster gets away. This is how scifi horror thrillers should end in my opinion. Anyone with any problems with it. They just have shitty taste in cinema.
@DEREK HALE Thanks.
yea but the movie is a COMPLETE rip off of Invasion of the Body Snatchers
@@NameSpaceVoid It's a variation on it, it's not like the characters or scenes are 1 for 1 recreations...but yeah, totally. The movie even acknowledges this with the discussion between Stokely and Casey, about how even "Body Snatchers" is a rip-off of "The Puppet Masters" by...oh, wait, I see what you were doing there...
Yeah, it was great being an older kid/young adult back in the day, we got some good stuff like this back then. Se7en and Fight Club were two great flicks I never forget to watch. This one and the first Final Destination are there too.
This is usually the point where somebody says let's get the fuck out of here! Best quote of this scene! 3:16
I loved this movie when I saw it as a kid. Still do and I still laugh when Jon Stewart screams "Now sit down!" Mostly because the movie is trying to make him intimidating when he clearly isn't and just comes across as funny to me.
Stewart would very likely agree with you completely. He frequently made fun of his own lack of acting talent on The Daily Show.
See those eyes when he reveals his form? Ive seen those before
WHEN JOSH HARTNETT WAS STILL THE IT BOY
Tbh he wasn't... He tried.... But it's bc his acting was pretty much the same in every single movie
@@shiestyrecords3225 True, but with right casting he could have kinda stayed relevant.
@@gc99289 i loved him in Penny Dreadful
@@shiestyrecords3225 he was good in O 2001
This is usually the point when somebody says let's get the fuck out of here
Pandu Arya Acita lets get the fuck outta here
2:23 is when Delilah gets taken over by the alien
Noah Truth. Mary Beth took care of that behind the table. They were tustling, Delilah lost, she got a bug, and no one was the wiser.
@@PeanutButterGtr I always thought it was when Mary Beth physically dragged her
@@AmbientMess It could be. Or around the 2:23 mark. All this time I wasn't sure when Delilah got infected.
She's an alien before this, when she shows up wearing the glasses. After her and Casey flee from the body in the closet, he keeps telling the cops to call Delilah, "she's not at home", "we couldn't get in touch with her" etc etc. It happens off-screen
@@mywhychromosome correct.
I don't understand how Jon Stewart's voice was completely different from The Daily Show a few years later.
I especially love the piece of music that starts at 2:29. It was also in Mimic. Both that and The Faculty were scored by Marco Beltrami, so it's awesome he got to reuse the same piece of intense music in both films.
I saw the Mimic yesterday and was like WTH? I also love that it was used in both instances to setup an anticlimax. Btw, do you know the name of the score? I wasn't able to find it in either of the OSTs.
@@60b1in Locate track 29 on the Mimic soundtrack. Title is called Fleeing Terror. It starts at 4:05 on the track itself.
@@SnailMaster Cool. Thanks. I wonder why it wasn't on Faculty one tho.
@@60b1in it was first used in Mimic, so it probably will only be dedicated to that soundtrack.
Piper Laurie was my favorite in this movie. I just loved her as Mrs. Olson. I thought she was the creepiest.
None could have seen her stabbing the principal coming!
And now for your Moment of Zen!
1:11 when the world realized that jon stewart will not be remembered as an actor.
+aliesneo The MIB thought he would be better assigned on Earth as a "comedian". Zed thought he'd have a knack for satirical news.
@Tyler Morgan what the fuck are you saying?
I completely forgot he was in this. He was always fit to be a Talk Show Host to be truthful.
Snuck in the theater 7TIMES to see this movie😁Love it! CLASSIC... Plus I learned Cabin in the Woods may be in the same universe🌌 MIND BLOWN💚🤘
Cabin in the Woods is in the same universe? Do tell.
@@Joe_Parmesan There’s a scene where they mention The Faculty
Am I wrong in thinking this movie is awesome?
I have always loved this movie since seeing it in theaters in '98...even had the soundtrack, which was really good, except for the Tom Morello/Layne Staley supergroup covering Floyd...that was just lazy, lol. And I was like 12 at the time, but I can always go back to this movie and plug right in, and it seems the same for anyone else I know who saw it back in the day; the movie stays with them. For some reason tho, it doesn't seem to appeal to 'new' audiences tho.
That "AH!" at 2:56 is funny
i see myself in zeek...AKA. the Outlaw
Why did it didn’t show til they were at Zeke’s house for Delilah to show she’s an alien?
This scene clip of the Faculty movie is scary! : 0
Jon Stewart: Biological sex is a spectrum
Me: 2:13
This is the best thing I've ever seen. Anyone know what lipstick Jon is wearing? I need that shade.
When he push Josh Hartnett to the tank and breaks it. The score sound like it came from the movie Mimic
I love this part 2:59
Jose Rodriguez same
Pirates of the Caribbean type shit 🗣💯!
2:48 🥺❤️ 2:49 🥺❤️
1:30. I don't think he actually sent it to the university. I think that he got infected from the bite on his finger and became infected that way so my guess is that it never made it to the university, and even if it somehow did there should have been a sequel to this film
If he was already infected by then, sending it to the university would have been the smart thing to do so that it could start spreading there
Which episode of the daily show was this?
One of the new ones I think 🤷🏻♀️
This title of the video should be renamed to Dr. Ernest Lawerence going against the “Daily Show” host.

Any other movies like this and They Live?
You mean alien possession themed? Aside the Puppet Masters and Invasion of Body Snatchers, which were both referenced in Faculty, I quite like The Hidden (1987), which is a buddy cop scifi with great music score. There are also Invaders from Mars, I quite like the remake. Ghosts of Mars even have Clea Duvall from Faculty in minor role. That's just few from top of my head...
He is already an alien, whence did they come here?

Best scene in this dumb flick.
when it showed mr furlongs fingers cut off notice the finger and the worm sliding towards the girls near the table but it did not show that they
got infected they made it way to obvious for them to be the imposters this whole time i also belive storky was a imposter cause at some point
she did get infected as well
This scene was great, especially when zeke snapped into hero mode and ripped off the cutter
Holy shit i forgot he was in this! And then theres Selma and Usher!
Holy crap, the cast in this movie, lol!
