      equipping = teaching people to lie more effectively. apologists are liars, spin doctors for gods immorality.

    Sweetest students ever. They were so thoughtful, open, and enthusiastic to learn. A wonderful mixture of intellect and childlike faith. I Love them. ❤ Also, thank you for giving such great answers and connecting with them so much. You and your dad have such a gift for that.

    Right off the bat this is very interesting to listen to with all the "Wow!" Cheers from the crowd. It's cool to listen to overall cultural differences. You would not hear that at all in the West.

      We are Heart of God Church in Singapore and every weekend is like this! 😁 It's our culture, partly out of respect, but it's also a natural reaction because we're hearing truth bomb after truth bomb in church 💯💯

    To see the joy on these students faces from Singapore is truly amazing. Imagine how many years it took for faithful Christian Missionaries to take the Gospel to this part of the world. The Holy Spirit is always at work to draw people to Christ.

    Thank you Sean for coming all the way to speak to us, I was struck by how you answered so many questions with clarity and compassion. I caught how it's more important to get to the heart of why someone is asking something, rather than trying to persuade or convince them. If it's the truth, that's convincing in itself. Pure gold! I left your sharing feeling more empowered as a Christian, and greatly inspired to seek God's thoughts and point of view about different areas that we care about deeply in society today.

      he is a master of turning an immoral god into a polished turd, all apologists are practiced liars, god is evil and immoral and sean's job is to sell books and pretend god is a nice guy - when you will be burned alive for eternity if you disagree in the least - thank goodness god is imaginary, sadly we have to deal with his followers who bully people they have no first hand experience of, christians are horrible people - i pray for the rapture cos when you folks go to heaven, the planets happiness quotient will skyrocket - YOU are the source of all the "sin" you hate, without you moaning judgemental insecure nit wits, we'd all get along fine.

    It is so beautiful to see that the God who created us desires us to know him. At the core of many of these questions is, I can see evil/wrong all around me, is there a solution? He put a reservoir in us of questions to respond to how he has reached out to us. God was never distant, but instead he became one like us, Emanuel. He desires that we see Him for who he is in His goodness, and to pray "as it is in heaven" it would be here on earth. Our deepest questions and longings are met by him. As God spoke to Jeremiah, "If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me" (Ch 29). Jesus says that he is the ultimate answer. He makes the claim that truth isn't subjective, or just a philosophy or religion, but that truth is a person. That Christ the messiah came to be like one of us, Emanuel, to show us his new life.

    I love the people of Singapore! My wife is a Nonya from Malacca. Singapore is one of those special places where people of many religions get along in peace. It's good for Christians to go deep in their faith, to know their scriptures, their history, and ask the most meaningful questions. Be the best Christian you can be. I'm a Baha'i and therefor I love Jesus and am thankful that God sent Him to revive the souls of men 2,000 years ago.

      but you're okay with god drowning everyone on the planet, you see nothing wrong with that? like, if god is the most intelligent person in the universe that was the best solution to his problem of naughtyness? you disagree with me that god is dumb?

      @@HarryNicNicholas Ppl in the Pre-Flood society was warned by Noah for 100 yrs that a worldwide flood was coming if they didn't repent. They were given plenty of warning, just like the modern world is being given plenty of warning about the nuclear catastrophe that is coming if it doesn't repent. God didn't want to do it, which is why He gave those ppl more than enough time to act. Instead, they scoffed and ignored the warning.

    Hey Sean, new to your channel- the question “who made God” caught my eye
    When I am defending His existence, I can say “it had to be God, because something (i.e., our perfect and harmonious creation and existence) can’t come from nothing”
    Something can’t come from nothing -but then again, I could ask the same about God. Is that reframing still a categorical fallacy?
    I am asking not to try to disprove God, but rather strengthen my understanding so I can answer tough questions if I’m asked.
    Thank you 🙏 looking forward to exploring more of your content!

    Great to have such discussion. Decisions for Christ should be done quickly. People do die and get sick and in woes very quickly too. Accept the gift of God do not need weeks, just like trusting a person. What if we trust the wrong person? Then too bad. Don't we have some sense?

  • @Nunya1387
    @Nunya1387 11 місяців тому +1

    I’ve asked that question in your comments before regarding why Christians aren’t pro choice considering they’d be better off going
    straight to heaven rather than taking their chances with this life. You can make light of the question all you want but the fact remains, this view is still more merciful than a God that would throw them into eternal torment.

    • @IndianaJoe0321
      @IndianaJoe0321 11 місяців тому

      A true Christian is NEVER "pro-choice" because s/he knows that abortion is murder.
      Remember: the unborn baby has 1) completely different DNA and 2) completely different blood type.

    • @marlena.
      @marlena. 11 місяців тому

      Then it would still be us making the choice for someone to live or die. Are we not playing God then? Choosing to unalive the unborn for our own vain assurance of their salvation, while taking away both their chance to experience the life given to them to the fullest, and their free will within that life?
      Alhlthough the bible is not precise on this topic, there is however a view on the age of accountability. The Bible talks about children not yet knowing good from bad(in deuteronomy&Isaiah) and God in Jeremiah is mad about people shedding the blood of the innocents and condeming childsacrifice. Would you then deprive the unborn from a lively childhood just because you fear for possibly becoming an unbeliever? While also depraving your own soul and unalive an innocent?
      Side note; Eternal torment is not everybodies view on the afterlife and within the traditionalist view can also be differing views.

However, there is one aspect I do disagree on (not anything big but curious as to what your response would be - because I have heard many many preachers use the same reasoning you did so I very well could be wrong but seems logically to me that I am right so please clear it up for me if you don't mind) On the part about dogs or other animals being in heaven - I have heard many many preachers say something to the affect of "animals cant repent of their sins" Logically to me it seems that it is an issue of apples and oranges because in the garden Adam broke God's law and ate of the fruit and brought sin upon man kind. The animals didn't sin they "rode Adam's coat tails into the fall because they fell under the curse. To me logically Animals even when they do "bad" they are innocent of sin I would think that is why God used them as sacrifices in the old testament because that was a picture of the innocent dying for the guilty a for shadowing of Jesus being sinless and dying for the guilty when He became the perfect sacrifice - so the issue of sin and animals would be a mute point or so seems to me. So logically it seems to me the way animals rode the first Adam's coat tails into the fall they would ride the 2nd Adam's coat tails OUT of the fall. Also there is a verse in Ecclesiastes 3:14 kjv " I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." Now I know it is very easy to take verses out of context but I think this verses can stand on its own. Whatsoever is like Whosoever it is all inclusive and it says Whatsoever God doeth it shall be forever - well God created the animals and that little spark that makes fluffy or Spot individual is JUST as much a part of God's creation as it's body and if WHATSOEVER God doeth is forever that seems to indicate that the spark in the animals is "forever" as well. Also as far as loving an animal there is an example in the Bible that a lot of people look over - 2 Samuel KJV "But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter." this verse describes a pet down to a "T" and it said "It was unto him as a DAUGHTER. And the same punishment to the rich man was going to be given as if he had killed the poor man's actual daughter - DEATH by David who even though was guilty of terrible things was still a man after God's own heart! So this is just a handful or reasons but I have a load of Bible that seems to indicate to me anyway that animals mean more than what most people realize. Anyway I will stop there because this is getting long but again great video and I enjoyed watching it. Also your answer I do agree with as far as God possibly rewarding with the pet I just didn't know if you ever considered the verses I just mentioned and how they might work in with the whole situation.

      Hi Sage, I hope this helps some , just a shot at answering lol Jesus is God and God is outside of time ; when Jesus died he returned to the fullness of being God therefore once again being out of time and being capable of paying for all of eternity . In regards to the punishment, some people believe that hell is actually a period of torment (in alignment with the amount of sin they did) then after this torment, the persons SOUL is completely destroyed by God , ceasing to exist and not having eternal life . I partially subscribe to this as I don’t believe God would torture them FOREVER and I don’t see enough Biblical text to support that ; I can however see God taking away their soul and completely ending their life ; the one who gives life has every right to take.

    Very bold statement right off the get go Shawn… why would Faith be required if you can know with absolute certainty that Christianity is true? You can’t know… You can only believe it to be,, The only people who could have ever known where the people that walked with Jesus and that’s it… everyone else has to believe it by faith because they can’t go back in time! That’s the truthful answer, and Shawn you can’t know it to be true…

    • @MastaE2288

      On the contrary, the Bible claims to be the truth. If the Bible is truly true, then this scripture would have to be true:
      ‭‭John‬ ‭8:31‭-‬32‬ ‭GW‬‬
      [31] So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples. [32] You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
      Jesus specifically said that if you do what he commands, you will know the truth. I challenge you to test it out if you're serious. But know this as well:
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:3‬ ‭GW‬‬
      [3] Then he said to them, “I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
      That means you need to empty your cup of what you think you know, and be humble. If something seems odd to you, humbly ask. For example, people use these verses to claim Jesus is evil or asks the impossible of us:
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:34‬ ‭GW‬‬
      [34] “Don’t think that I came to bring peace to earth. I didn’t come to bring peace but conflict.
      ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:22‬ ‭GW‬‬
      [22] When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still need one thing. Sell everything you have. Distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then follow me!”
      Ask me, and I will explain, but only if you are humbly asking and want to actually know the truth.

    To answer the 13th question: This debate over Trinity, Oneness, Unitarian, Jehovah's Witnesses, and like such, can all be resolved with one verse.. John 6:51 I am the living bread..from heaven..and the bread..is my flesh.." This is why John writes, "the word became flesh." And so it is written, "in the likeness of sinful flesh."- Romans 8:3. God explained His Image (Isa. 40:18, 21) in Genesis.

    • @shawnfilion7xlightray
      @shawnfilion7xlightray 11 місяців тому

      Why do I need to do that, if there is no contradiction in my doctrine; and no one has, or is able to, overcome my doctrine; and it is straightforward as Prov. 8:8-9 says; and is what Genesis teaches; and I know from where I received it; and even trinitarians say, "Trinity is not in the Bible!" and yet, I say, "It is in the Bible!"; and on top of that, I believe what Christ taught on this matter, which trinitarians admit Jesus did not teach the mystery religion the Trinity, so, what God did He teach?; and there is much more that I know, like, God provides everything we need (using only the Bible) to solve Rev. 13:18? I have remained in Christ's doctrine, but Trinity and like such did not. I know whom you worship.
      It was just shown how Trinity, Oneness, Unitarian, J.W. and like such, are all in serious error according to Christ's doctrine John 6:51, which you failed to respond to, but now, can you overcome my doctrine?? I know you can't, and there can only be one doctrine.
      These denominations believe, and glorify, or worship, created fallen sinful flesh paid for the sins of the world.

      If there is a midnight cry, then there is a midnight crier. What do you think the Lord Jesus Christ's doctrine is on the incarnation? John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The word became flesh! God required a spotless Lamb! For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh - Rom 8:3.
      I am only trying to help, and warn, but I do know what I am talking about, as Paul claimed 2 Cor 11:6; and I know you do not know what I know. If we wish to overcome the world we need to believe Jesus is the (only literal) Son of God! God's flesh and blood!

Laughing at jokes seemed typical, but some of the ohs and ahs sounded more like sadness that didn't always match the context. I also didn't know this was Singapore until near the end. Engaged churches sound different in america, not uniform except maybe laughing at jokes. Not everyone says Amen at the same time unless ending a prayer. Amen is often what people hear says when it's an engaged audience. Although my adult son will stand up for a moment and then sit down. (He is nonverbal, so I think this is like saying Amen for him. He will hum sometimes, but that is a boredom stim or overwhelming joy). Our Pastor gets him. After a particularly engaged surmon, Pastor will come find my son and give him a manly side hug. He takes his cues from my son who only lets Dad or me give him bear hugs. My son has gotten good as communicating his sensory preferences without a word if he knows the other person is listening with their heart, but I digress. A cold audience is more common in a more formal or large church. The cold audience you speak of is what I experience in Catholic mass as a child. But I visited a small Catholic church my ancestors from ireland were members of, and this was not as cold. Presbyterian as a child is less so but again, the rural church my parents currently attend is not cold. It's like a 1 room school house but a church. Baptist as an adult, I find the most engaging. I hear pentecostal is more so because people start "speaking in tongues" and running the aisles. I was accidently as a pentacostal event at Grandma's nursing home. Her friend had invited her and us. Grandma was presbyterian or baptist. The pentacostals had studied hebrew, and when they spoke in tongues, it was hebrew. So, it is not exactly speaking in tongues as described in the bible. This is very rare in modern times. I think. I hear it still happens in 3rd world or off grid places that missionaries are working in regardless of church denomination.
