Sweetest students ever. They were so thoughtful, open, and enthusiastic to learn. A wonderful mixture of intellect and childlike faith. I Love them. ❤ Also, thank you for giving such great answers and connecting with them so much. You and your dad have such a gift for that.
Right off the bat this is very interesting to listen to with all the "Wow!" Cheers from the crowd. It's cool to listen to overall cultural differences. You would not hear that at all in the West.
Yes! I was in the audience that day, and this is my church! 😊😊 We are Heart of God Church in Singapore and every weekend is like this! 😁 It's our culture, partly out of respect, but it's also a natural reaction because we're hearing truth bomb after truth bomb in church 💯💯
To see the joy on these students faces from Singapore is truly amazing. Imagine how many years it took for faithful Christian Missionaries to take the Gospel to this part of the world. The Holy Spirit is always at work to draw people to Christ.
Thank you Sean for coming all the way to speak to us, I was struck by how you answered so many questions with clarity and compassion. I caught how it's more important to get to the heart of why someone is asking something, rather than trying to persuade or convince them. If it's the truth, that's convincing in itself. Pure gold! I left your sharing feeling more empowered as a Christian, and greatly inspired to seek God's thoughts and point of view about different areas that we care about deeply in society today.
Sean thank you so much for coming to Heart of God Church! Was a pleasure to hear! We have many young people at our church who learnt so much from you! They were very much equipped😊 We hope you see you again in Singapore soon😌 - Blake👟
WOW this is a fantastic 1 hour to listen to, over and over! Where was this event? This is so relevant and needs to be shared so please everyone spread this message!! Thank you to those who organized it, thank you for these thoughtful critical questions and thank you Sean for your teaching through your thoughtful, powerful answers. Blessings to you all, WOW
he is a master of turning an immoral god into a polished turd, all apologists are practiced liars, god is evil and immoral and sean's job is to sell books and pretend god is a nice guy - when you will be burned alive for eternity if you disagree in the least - thank goodness god is imaginary, sadly we have to deal with his followers who bully people they have no first hand experience of, christians are horrible people - i pray for the rapture cos when you folks go to heaven, the planets happiness quotient will skyrocket - YOU are the source of all the "sin" you hate, without you moaning judgemental insecure nit wits, we'd all get along fine.
Wow, I absolutely loved this. The questions were good, and the answers were well understood. Thank you for sharing this Sean, and hope you share the other one that you were doing the next day. 😊
Love the insights and energy in this Q&A session! Thanks for clearly addressing questions on the minds of young people. Haven’t had so much fun watching an apologetics video, thanks Sean!
It is so beautiful to see that the God who created us desires us to know him. At the core of many of these questions is, I can see evil/wrong all around me, is there a solution? He put a reservoir in us of questions to respond to how he has reached out to us. God was never distant, but instead he became one like us, Emanuel. He desires that we see Him for who he is in His goodness, and to pray "as it is in heaven" it would be here on earth. Our deepest questions and longings are met by him. As God spoke to Jeremiah, "If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me" (Ch 29). Jesus says that he is the ultimate answer. He makes the claim that truth isn't subjective, or just a philosophy or religion, but that truth is a person. That Christ the messiah came to be like one of us, Emanuel, to show us his new life.
I love the people of Singapore! My wife is a Nonya from Malacca. Singapore is one of those special places where people of many religions get along in peace. It's good for Christians to go deep in their faith, to know their scriptures, their history, and ask the most meaningful questions. Be the best Christian you can be. I'm a Baha'i and therefor I love Jesus and am thankful that God sent Him to revive the souls of men 2,000 years ago.
but you're okay with god drowning everyone on the planet, you see nothing wrong with that? like, if god is the most intelligent person in the universe that was the best solution to his problem of naughtyness? you disagree with me that god is dumb?
Of course that didn't literally happen. That whole story of the flood only makes sense if it is understood allegorically . The ark's size is given, and it could never have held two of every species along with the food needed. @@HarryNicNicholas
@@HarryNicNicholas Ppl in the Pre-Flood society was warned by Noah for 100 yrs that a worldwide flood was coming if they didn't repent. They were given plenty of warning, just like the modern world is being given plenty of warning about the nuclear catastrophe that is coming if it doesn't repent. God didn't want to do it, which is why He gave those ppl more than enough time to act. Instead, they scoffed and ignored the warning.
@HarryNicholas "god is the most intelligent person in the universe"? I AM is not a "person" and I AM is not "in" the creation I AM created. You are committing a category fallacy.
@Brian-wx7nx that's what it sounded like but I think that's how they are. Like me when I watch a movie, I talk sometimes and interact with the person next to me... like"girl, went would you go behind that door ?" etc.
“You can’t love someone unless you put yourself in a position to be vulnerable, to be hurt.” I like that. Does that mean that when I come out as trans to another Christian, I’m loving them? Because chances are very, very good that they will hurt me - sometimes intentionally, sometimes not.
Thank you and Gratitude and Honor for ATTENDING UNTO OUR OWN! Love ye all Too! Remember what is a conversation without another? Together can uplift one another. For HE is lifted up! Likewise will draws all Men. My beautiful will say
Nah, it was kinda odd, like watching a talk show where there is a cue card facing the audience "applause". If they meant it, then I guess it's cool LOL
I love this! The questions were fun, and the answers were fundamental. So much covered in one sitting! Thanks for sharing this and yes… Tobey Mcguire holds a special place in my books for being the OG Spiderman!
Thank you so much Sean. I am learning a lot from you. God is really using you to help the next generation of Christians. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless you and your family ❤
Great series of questions. Huge blessing to see so many college kids, and even a demographic that historically came fro a different culture and religious heritage, want to know God's heart and Jesus....
can you ask god how to get cold fusion working please, i mean look at my electricity bills - unbelievable, and if god isn't going to stop the war and bump off putin, can he at least let us get energy under control? please, can you ask him, i mean he is your personal dog right? you talk to him daily right? he does everything you ever ask of him right? or is "the personal god" a big fat lie?
Hey Sean, new to your channel- the question “who made God” caught my eye When I am defending His existence, I can say “it had to be God, because something (i.e., our perfect and harmonious creation and existence) can’t come from nothing” Something can’t come from nothing -but then again, I could ask the same about God. Is that reframing still a categorical fallacy? I am asking not to try to disprove God, but rather strengthen my understanding so I can answer tough questions if I’m asked. Thank you 🙏 looking forward to exploring more of your content!
new subs for you sir.i am only a security guard sir who personally seen and admire for that Q&A portion and i am very praise to hear you in person at ccf.
So much respect to Sean for answering questions that sound trivial but important for some people. I wish he would be able to talk to my dear husband who has so many difficult questions that i don't think i could ever answer.
Praying for you and your husband, that the answers would come to you, and that people would come into your Lives who are strong in faith, that won't shy away from tough subjects, who will fellowship with you, and who he'll respect enough to be open to hear the answers. ❤
At first I was thinking “what’s up with this crowd ooohing, awing and wowing after everything Sean says?” That was very unusual to me. Then I saw this was filmed in Singapore 🇸🇬 and I totally understood. Great people.!
You have sinned against the one, true God Yahweh @@HarryNicNicholas , and you need to repent and place your trust & faith in Jesus of Nazareth for salvation.
Wow I know this church Heart of God Church in Singapore! Always wondered about these questions... super insightful, dispelled a lot of my doubts and I'm curious to know more. Will you do more videos on topics like how does the Bible explain fossil records and if the Exodus story is real?
Great to have such discussion. Decisions for Christ should be done quickly. People do die and get sick and in woes very quickly too. Accept the gift of God do not need weeks, just like trusting a person. What if we trust the wrong person? Then too bad. Don't we have some sense?
Love the Q & A format. Sean is great and has a well-developed Xian worldview. That said what is going on with the audience? Their oows and aahs come across as genuinely as the audience in an infomercial😮 Strangest culture in a church I’ve seen, and I grew up in a Pentecostal church.😮
I’ve asked that question in your comments before regarding why Christians aren’t pro choice considering they’d be better off going straight to heaven rather than taking their chances with this life. You can make light of the question all you want but the fact remains, this view is still more merciful than a God that would throw them into eternal torment.
A true Christian is NEVER "pro-choice" because s/he knows that abortion is murder. Remember: the unborn baby has 1) completely different DNA and 2) completely different blood type.
Then it would still be us making the choice for someone to live or die. Are we not playing God then? Choosing to unalive the unborn for our own vain assurance of their salvation, while taking away both their chance to experience the life given to them to the fullest, and their free will within that life? Alhlthough the bible is not precise on this topic, there is however a view on the age of accountability. The Bible talks about children not yet knowing good from bad(in deuteronomy&Isaiah) and God in Jeremiah is mad about people shedding the blood of the innocents and condeming childsacrifice. Would you then deprive the unborn from a lively childhood just because you fear for possibly becoming an unbeliever? While also depraving your own soul and unalive an innocent? Side note; Eternal torment is not everybodies view on the afterlife and within the traditionalist view can also be differing views.
I understand all these concepts, and yes I have not listened to the end. But I want to know when or if we should fight back with weapons or no weapons while we actively try to save our homeland. Should we just let ourselves be taken hostage? What is the real story of our past in America? What was the black robe regiment? I'm always wondering what we should do or not do.
15:00 if someone considers the Bible irrelevant because it's thousands of years old, then ask them if they will be relevant 100 years grom now. Do their own beliefs have an expiration date?
very good video and very interesting! However, there is one aspect I do disagree on (not anything big but curious as to what your response would be - because I have heard many many preachers use the same reasoning you did so I very well could be wrong but seems logically to me that I am right so please clear it up for me if you don't mind) On the part about dogs or other animals being in heaven - I have heard many many preachers say something to the affect of "animals cant repent of their sins" Logically to me it seems that it is an issue of apples and oranges because in the garden Adam broke God's law and ate of the fruit and brought sin upon man kind. The animals didn't sin they "rode Adam's coat tails into the fall because they fell under the curse. To me logically Animals even when they do "bad" they are innocent of sin I would think that is why God used them as sacrifices in the old testament because that was a picture of the innocent dying for the guilty a for shadowing of Jesus being sinless and dying for the guilty when He became the perfect sacrifice - so the issue of sin and animals would be a mute point or so seems to me. So logically it seems to me the way animals rode the first Adam's coat tails into the fall they would ride the 2nd Adam's coat tails OUT of the fall. Also there is a verse in Ecclesiastes 3:14 kjv " I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." Now I know it is very easy to take verses out of context but I think this verses can stand on its own. Whatsoever is like Whosoever it is all inclusive and it says Whatsoever God doeth it shall be forever - well God created the animals and that little spark that makes fluffy or Spot individual is JUST as much a part of God's creation as it's body and if WHATSOEVER God doeth is forever that seems to indicate that the spark in the animals is "forever" as well. Also as far as loving an animal there is an example in the Bible that a lot of people look over - 2 Samuel KJV "But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter." this verse describes a pet down to a "T" and it said "It was unto him as a DAUGHTER. And the same punishment to the rich man was going to be given as if he had killed the poor man's actual daughter - DEATH by David who even though was guilty of terrible things was still a man after God's own heart! So this is just a handful or reasons but I have a load of Bible that seems to indicate to me anyway that animals mean more than what most people realize. Anyway I will stop there because this is getting long but again great video and I enjoyed watching it. Also your answer I do agree with as far as God possibly rewarding with the pet I just didn't know if you ever considered the verses I just mentioned and how they might work in with the whole situation.
I get that it's not for everybody, but I go to this church and if anything, hearing it live, the atmosphere builds faith for me! Makes sense too when you're hearing the truth laid out like this, why would anyone not be amazed and encouraged?
Totally great stuff, but I do have to ask a clarifying question. You said that we will be re-embodied in heaven. Is this what you meant, or was this shorthand? Do you believe that heaven is the eternal home of believers, or the new united heavens and earth?
Interesting that they say Jesus suffered the penalty of sin by being punished within 3 day duration, when the punishment is supposed to be neverending torment for eternity. I would like for someone to explain this.
Acts 2:24-27 GW [24] But God brought him from death back to life and destroyed the pains of death, because death had no power to hold him. [25] This is what David meant when he said about Jesus: ‘I always see the Lord in front of me. I cannot be moved because he is by my side. [26] That is why my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices. My body also rests securely [27] because you do not abandon my soul to the grave or allow your holy one to decay. Isaiah 59:1-2 GW [1] The Lord is not too weak to save or his ear too deaf to hear. [2] But your wrongs have separated you from your God, and your sins have made him hide his face so that he doesn’t hear you. Romans 6:23 GW [23] The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:21 GW [21] God had Christ, who was sinless, take our sin so that we might receive God’s approval through him. Hi, hoping the above helps. These scriptures explain that the penalty for sin is death. However, Jesus never sinned so death could not hold him. He was the first of the resurrected unto life, and by that, we can also hope to be resurrected.
There is a difference between sinning against an eternal God, and suffering eternal torment for the transgression ... and God offering Himself (Jesus of Nazareth), as a sin offering, for all of humanity's sins ...
Not sure what made my comment disappear. Trying again. Acts 2:24-27 GW [24] But God brought him from d3ath back to life and destroyed the pains of d3ath, because d3ath had no power to hold him. [25] This is what David meant when he said about Jesus: ‘I always see the Lord in front of me. I cannot be moved because he is by my side. [26] That is why my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices. Hi. Not sure what made my comment disappear. Trying again, this time with just the scripture references. Acts 2:24-27 Isaiah 59:1-2 Romans 6:23 2 Corinthians 5:21 Hoping the above helps. These scriptures explain that the penalty for sin is d3ath. However, Jesus never sinned so d3ath could not hold him. Hi Sage, I hope this helps some , just a shot at answering lol Jesus is God and God is outside of time ; when Jesus died he returned to the fullness of being God therefore once again being out of time and being capable of paying for all of eternity . In regards to the punishment, some people believe that hell is actually a period of torment (in alignment with the amount of sin they did) then after this torment, the persons SOUL is completely destroyed by God , ceasing to exist and not having eternal life . I partially subscribe to this as I don’t believe God would torture them FOREVER and I don’t see enough Biblical text to support that ; I can however see God taking away their soul and completely ending their life ; the one who gives life has every right to take.
Wow! I was truly inspired by the depth of insight and clarity in this Q&A session. All of the responses were thoughtful and articulate. Thank you Sean for this enlightening session.
Very bold statement right off the get go Shawn… why would Faith be required if you can know with absolute certainty that Christianity is true? You can’t know… You can only believe it to be,, The only people who could have ever known where the people that walked with Jesus and that’s it… everyone else has to believe it by faith because they can’t go back in time! That’s the truthful answer, and Shawn you can’t know it to be true…
On the contrary, the Bible claims to be the truth. If the Bible is truly true, then this scripture would have to be true: John 8:31-32 GW [31] So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples. [32] You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Jesus specifically said that if you do what he commands, you will know the truth. I challenge you to test it out if you're serious. But know this as well: Matthew 18:3 GW [3] Then he said to them, “I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. That means you need to empty your cup of what you think you know, and be humble. If something seems odd to you, humbly ask. For example, people use these verses to claim Jesus is evil or asks the impossible of us: Matthew 10:34 GW [34] “Don’t think that I came to bring peace to earth. I didn’t come to bring peace but conflict. Luke 18:22 GW [22] When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still need one thing. Sell everything you have. Distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then follow me!” Ask me, and I will explain, but only if you are humbly asking and want to actually know the truth.
@@SeanMcDowellBecause if you use a dictionary you find the definition "to be certain'. Do Sean if you don't "know" that Christianity is true, perhaps you should start making that clear to your audience because, I am certain they believe that you "know" it to be be true.
Book of Kings :8:26 and 2nd Chronicles:22:2 2nd Kings:24:8 and 2nd Chronicles :36:9 Deutronomy:24:61 and Book of Exodus:20:5 2nd Samuel:6:23 and 2nd Samuel:21:8 Gospel of Mathew:1:16 and Gospel of Luke:3:23
To answer the 13th question: This debate over Trinity, Oneness, Unitarian, Jehovah's Witnesses, and like such, can all be resolved with one verse.. John 6:51 I am the living bread..from heaven..and the bread..is my flesh.." This is why John writes, "the word became flesh." And so it is written, "in the likeness of sinful flesh."- Romans 8:3. God explained His Image (Isa. 40:18, 21) in Genesis.
Why do I need to do that, if there is no contradiction in my doctrine; and no one has, or is able to, overcome my doctrine; and it is straightforward as Prov. 8:8-9 says; and is what Genesis teaches; and I know from where I received it; and even trinitarians say, "Trinity is not in the Bible!" and yet, I say, "It is in the Bible!"; and on top of that, I believe what Christ taught on this matter, which trinitarians admit Jesus did not teach the mystery religion the Trinity, so, what God did He teach?; and there is much more that I know, like, God provides everything we need (using only the Bible) to solve Rev. 13:18? I have remained in Christ's doctrine, but Trinity and like such did not. I know whom you worship. It was just shown how Trinity, Oneness, Unitarian, J.W. and like such, are all in serious error according to Christ's doctrine John 6:51, which you failed to respond to, but now, can you overcome my doctrine?? I know you can't, and there can only be one doctrine. These denominations believe, and glorify, or worship, created fallen sinful flesh paid for the sins of the world.
Your hubris is clearly reflected in the writing,@@shawnfilion7xlightray . It's sad that you are worshipping a false deity -- certainly not trinitarian Yahweh of the Bible. Unless you repent ... Jesus was speaking of you in Mat 7:21-23.
If there is a midnight cry, then there is a midnight crier. What do you think the Lord Jesus Christ's doctrine is on the incarnation? John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The word became flesh! God required a spotless Lamb! For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh - Rom 8:3. I am only trying to help, and warn, but I do know what I am talking about, as Paul claimed 2 Cor 11:6; and I know you do not know what I know. If we wish to overcome the world we need to believe Jesus is the (only literal) Son of God! God's flesh and blood!
I wonder! Although humans are a unit, physical and metaphysical, and each work together, and if there's somthing wrong with my brain, depending what it is, effects how I process thoughts. If my body is incapacitated in some way, but my mind functions well, whatever it is that's malfunctioning will not function, no matter how much I will it to be so. So, what I wonder is, is it a mistake to think that the 'brain (physical) tells me what is true, or is it the mind (metaphysical) that tells me what is true?" I'd like to use the following phrase to illustrate my point. "I'm of the mindset (not brain-set) that mind/body dulism is the reality of human beings." Does my brain tell me that, or my mind? See statement at the 20:06 marker.
Me! I was in the audience. We are taught in our church to stay engage and respond to the preacher. We put ourselves in the speaker’s shoes; we would love to speak to a warm and supportive audience instead of cold, expressionless audience. We want to build the atmosphere of the place. When I first joined the church, it was distracting. But after understanding the intention and heart of it, it’s ok.
@@Audrey-dm6hz ok. Thanks. It was just not anticipant by me. The stream did not say where. I thought it was a university, maybe, but it didn't sound like that setting. Laughing at jokes seemed typical, but some of the ohs and ahs sounded more like sadness that didn't always match the context. I also didn't know this was Singapore until near the end. Engaged churches sound different in america, not uniform except maybe laughing at jokes. Not everyone says Amen at the same time unless ending a prayer. Amen is often what people hear says when it's an engaged audience. Although my adult son will stand up for a moment and then sit down. (He is nonverbal, so I think this is like saying Amen for him. He will hum sometimes, but that is a boredom stim or overwhelming joy). Our Pastor gets him. After a particularly engaged surmon, Pastor will come find my son and give him a manly side hug. He takes his cues from my son who only lets Dad or me give him bear hugs. My son has gotten good as communicating his sensory preferences without a word if he knows the other person is listening with their heart, but I digress. A cold audience is more common in a more formal or large church. The cold audience you speak of is what I experience in Catholic mass as a child. But I visited a small Catholic church my ancestors from ireland were members of, and this was not as cold. Presbyterian as a child is less so but again, the rural church my parents currently attend is not cold. It's like a 1 room school house but a church. Baptist as an adult, I find the most engaging. I hear pentecostal is more so because people start "speaking in tongues" and running the aisles. I was accidently as a pentacostal event at Grandma's nursing home. Her friend had invited her and us. Grandma was presbyterian or baptist. The pentacostals had studied hebrew, and when they spoke in tongues, it was hebrew. So, it is not exactly speaking in tongues as described in the bible. This is very rare in modern times. I think. I hear it still happens in 3rd world or off grid places that missionaries are working in regardless of church denomination.
Along with what Sean said, we know animals had the ability to live forever because there was no death prior to the Fall. There was no death in the Garden of Eden.
It was a blast having you with us in Singapore. Big thanks for equipping the youth in our church!
equipping = teaching people to lie more effectively. apologists are liars, spin doctors for gods immorality.

Heart of God Church in Singapore :)
Lol. I loved the audiences reactions. You go sean preach that brother! I love it!
I’m so glad I listened to this. A clear, authoritative set of answers. So much to learn here!
What an engaged crowd. Listen to them ooo and ahhhhh. It sounds like a track in the backround lol. Love it! They are really interested !
sounds like sheep to me, but there you go.
This audience was fantastic!!!!
I want to hug every last one of those kids. Just delightful.
What a great conversation! I am 63 and have been listening to apologists for years. And, yet, there was so much to take from this exchange.
Thank you Sean for the truths!! Glad to have you over that weekend and really impacted by the sharing and just seeing perspectives!
Well thought out questions and answers. Sean is so solid. And what a wonderful and enthusiastic audience.

This man's explanation and answers to these questions is on another level. I am thankful I came across this and watched. God bless you, sir.
This is fantastic. Love the questions and the very clear and concise replies!
Oh my gosh...these students are so interesting...the "ooooh" and "ahhhhh" from the audience is so sweet and unusual for Americans. Love it.
The crowd reaction was priceless 😂 so cute I love it
“Evil is parasitic to good.” Good point.
Wow, I absolutely loved this. The questions were good, and the answers were well understood. Thank you for sharing this Sean, and hope you share the other one that you were doing the next day. 😊
I loved how the audience oohed and aahed at everything he said.
I love this thank you. And the live soundtrack of sound effects and affects are priceless !!
Mr. Sean God Bless you!!! This was so great! If you’re ever in New Orleans please let me know where and what event!
@HarryNicholas Who is "god"? I AM is not "god."
This man has brought me so much closer to Christ and I thank both him and Christ well I guess and his parents lol.
This is to the next level. Thank you for sharing. Honestly mind blowing
I love how interactive they are!
I think the editor added that sound effect in lol.
@Brian-wx7nx that's what it sounded like but I think that's how they are. Like me when I watch a movie, I talk sometimes and interact with the person next to me... like"girl, went would you go behind that door ?" etc.
@@AprilAnnette Yup, this is true! After reading the comments, it’s something cultural, it’s beautiful!
Just love Sean! I could listen and talk with him all day given the chance. Would have loved to have him as a teacher.
I love this! Brings back so many fun memories of Christian retreats with my fellow Internationals in college.
What a blessing to watch you with this group it greatly encourages me❤ to
Wow! it's outstanding in the way he answers these questions!
God bless you and your family.❤
get him talking to atheists and see how "great" he is.
loved the session!! filled with insights, truth and a lot of laughter!! didn't know apologetics could be this fun too!
Just listened to your awesome sermon at CCF this morning on good and evil. Praise to Yah!
It’s so helpful to hear this information! Thank you
I love how reactive the crowd is! Great job, Sean!!!
Thanks. It’s a super unique church that has an average age of 23. They’re as motivated and enthusiastic as any church I’ve ever visited!
Nah, it was kinda odd, like watching a talk show where there is a cue card facing the audience "applause". If they meant it, then I guess it's cool LOL
Simple, brings things back to what Christianity really is. Listening, respect and having the confidence that God has the answers.
God might have the answers shame that he obviously didn't share them with Sean.
Be careful. Helping the next generation of Christians should not stem from changing the truth. Weigh Everything he says against the Word.
Great series of questions. Huge blessing to see so many college kids, and even a demographic that historically came fro a different culture and religious heritage, want to know God's heart and Jesus....
So that means a lie is “truth decay.”
Sean is my model apologist. I love these answers.
I was just this morning talking to God about His righteous judgements, and my need to do the same, as Jesus commanded.
can you ask god how to get cold fusion working please, i mean look at my electricity bills - unbelievable, and if god isn't going to stop the war and bump off putin, can he at least let us get energy under control? please, can you ask him, i mean he is your personal dog right? you talk to him daily right? he does everything you ever ask of him right? or is "the personal god" a big fat lie?
Read the Minor Prophets of the Hebrew Bible ... those will knock your socks off!
Hey Sean, new to your channel- the question “who made God” caught my eye
When I am defending His existence, I can say “it had to be God, because something (i.e., our perfect and harmonious creation and existence) can’t come from nothing”
Something can’t come from nothing -but then again, I could ask the same about God.
Thank you!!!
At first I was thinking “what’s up with this crowd ooohing, awing and wowing after everything Sean says?” That was very unusual to me. Then I saw this was filmed in Singapore 🇸🇬 and I totally understood. Great people.!

Wow I know this church Heart of God Church in Singapore! Always wondered about these questions... super insightful, dispelled a lot of my doubts and I'm curious to know more. Will you do more videos on topics like how does the Bible explain fossil records and if the Exodus story is real?
I’ve done a couple videos on the Exodus already! But yes, more to come.
Sean explains the good-evil concept really well, in relationship to moral truth, objective truth, and a moral and objective truth-giver!‼️👊🏼
Hi Sean, brother when you coming to Cape Town SA to do a Q&A with young people in this country….. please
Their oows and aahs come across as genuinely as the audience in an infomercial😮
Strangest culture in a church I’ve seen, and I grew up in a Pentecostal church.😮
I’ve asked that question in your comments before regarding why Christians aren’t pro choice considering they’d be better off going
straight to heaven rather than taking their chances with this life.
Is this in Singapore? How could I have missed this if it is?!!
If you truly want to answer tough questions, talk to Pinecreek Doug.
what did Sean make of the audience's Oooos and Aaaaaas....got to love it
"Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
no, he kills people who disagree with him, when are you folks going to realise god is a dictator and the only upside is he is imaginary.
Fantastic
The crowd literally anytime Sean McDowell says something 😮😮😮😵😵😵🤩🤩🤩
very good video and very interesting!
I don't know know if the video is better or worse with everyone saying "Aaah" all the time💀
It was annoying at first, but then I realized that it was a cultural thing and I got used to it!
I get that it's not for everybody, but I go to this church and if anything, hearing it live, the atmosphere builds faith for me! Makes sense too when you're hearing the truth laid out like this, why would anyone not be amazed and encouraged?
I have a question. How can we say Jesus lived a sinless life if several years of his life are unknown?
Totally great stuff, but I do have to ask a clarifying question. You said that we will be re-embodied in heaven. Is this what you meant, or was this shorthand? Do you believe that heaven is the eternal home of believers, or the new united heavens and earth?
Hope you write a book about Jesus and Paul questions they answered
Jesus of Nazareth and Saul/Paul don't ever contradict each other, ever.
Interesting that they say Jesus suffered the penalty of sin by being punished within 3 day duration, when the punishment is supposed to be neverending torment for eternity. I would like for someone to explain this.
Acts 2:24-27 GW
[24] But God brought him from death back to life and destroyed the pains of death, because death had no power to hold him.
Isaiah 59:1-2 GW
[1] The Lord is not too weak to save or his ear too deaf to hear. [2] But your wrongs have separated you from your God, and your sins have made him hide his face so that he doesn’t hear you.
Romans 6:23 GW
[23] The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:21 GW
[21] God had Christ, who was sinless, take our sin so that we might receive God’s approval through him.

I 100 percent have felt the lord.....Watched tongue interpretation
Very bold statement right off the get go Shawn… why would Faith be required if you can know with absolute certainty that Christianity is true? You can’t know… You can only believe it to be,, The only people who could have ever known where the people that walked with Jesus and that’s it… everyone else has to believe it by faith because they can’t go back in time! That’s the truthful answer, and Shawn you can’t know it to be true…
On the contrary, the Bible claims to be the truth. If the Bible is truly true, then this scripture would have to be true:
John 8:31-32 GW
[31] So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples. [32] You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Jesus specifically said that if you do what he commands, you will know the truth. I challenge you to test it out if you're serious. But know this as well:
Matthew 18:3 GW
[3] Then he said to them, “I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
That means you need to empty your cup of what you think you know, and be humble. If something seems odd to you, humbly ask. For example, people use these verses to claim Jesus is evil or asks the impossible of us:
Matthew 10:34 GW
[34] “Don’t think that I came to bring peace to earth. I didn’t come to bring peace but conflict.
Luke 18:22 GW
[22] When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still need one thing. Sell everything you have. Distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then follow me!”
Ask me, and I will explain, but only if you are humbly asking and want to actually know the truth.
Why assume that knowledge requires certainty?
Semantics..🙄 I don’t think I’m assuming anything, I think the statement “Because Christianity is true” Is…
@@071903ma Again, it's testable. The Bible says if you do _____, then you will know the truth.
@@SeanMcDowellBecause if you use a dictionary you find the definition "to be certain'. Do Sean if you don't "know" that Christianity is true, perhaps you should start making that clear to your audience because, I am certain they believe that you "know" it to be be true.

You need to be able to defend the doctrine of the Trinity by using the Hebrew Bible, Shawn. Can you do that??
What blue taste like?

If u believe , ur soul mate not only in ur kind, whn u look in ur pet eyes u will know,
Who are the people in the crowd? Ohing, and ahing seems strange.
Regarding animals, they are important to God because it was in the Jewish law to treat them humanely.
Popularity does not mean it’s true right Sean? Barbie was a popular movie? Is Barbie real ?
atheists in 2024: "we're unpopular but that doesn't mean we're wrong."

also, Barbie is not popular compared to God's authored work, the Bible.
“I grew up older that most of you….”
What does that even mean?????
Where's all the oohs and ahhs when he starts talking about moral purity in a marriage?😂
Along with what Sean said, we know animals had the ability to live forever because there was no death prior to the Fall. There was no death in the Garden of Eden.
