***Dollar Tree crates are MINI crates. They can hold a descent amount of stuff, but if you need a lot of storage, you can always try these DIY's with full sized crates (just ask certain stores and most will donate what they don't use).

The fact that you can look at all of these random items and come up with something as creative as this blows me away! I would never have thought to cut those things in half and put them together to make a smaller one.

Best inexpensive craft storage ideas ever!
Used 12 to start a display case for kids Beanie Babies- great for stuffed animals, etc. great for dorm rooms. No glue, just clear zip ties. Can always add to it as their collections grow.
I love this idea! I was going to go get this cube organizer for like $70, this is so much cheaper and easier to use. I need the bigger mild crates, but still, this is going to be so much cheaper and easier to use. Thank you so much for sharing.

Genius!!! I love how you made everything purely of DT materials. I love colors, so I would have kept the crates as they were. Spray painting it made it look so glam though! This is perfect! I've been trying to find a shelf for my books (I love to read and I'm a college student), but most of the ones Ive been able to find are just too expensive. And this will be perfect, I can even play with it a little and make it my own!

I LOVE this video. I'm pretty sure I've watched it like 10 times since I discovered it last week. Also, I have searched at least 4 dollar stores and I don't think they carry these anymore! Even on their website.. In case anyone is wondering... Home Depot sells mini crates that are similar at $1.48 and I'm going to pick some up. Clothing + book shelf!
