Mine is on the way. I love field watches but none of mine are daily beaters at their price. This one will be worn and abused. I specifically wanted a quartz for that durability and price point. Definitely a Nato strap watch!
I just got this same watch in the salmon dial and it's a pretty cool little watch! Yeah, the lugs are kinda long, but if you want the Khaki mechanical vibe w/o the price, but w/ the accuracy, this will do it. Quartz accuracy w/o the annoying register-missing ticks by the second hand. For the price this tool watch is pretty hard to beat. Thanks for the review!
I actually swapped out the strap for a black silicone band. I think that's overall more compact and better for work wear. The only issue I have is that the VH31 seems to vary by as much as 1 second. When I check it, the time can be around 1 second behind, 1 second ahead, or spot on. Weird compared with my other quartz movements. Just now, it's 3 seconds behind. Escapement Time is not interested in resolving the issue, though to be honest it's not a big deal for the price.
That's weird about the second hand jumping around. I set mine to the NIST time right after I got it and it's still spot on, so it should fall within Seiko's stated spec of 20 secs/mo or whatever it is. At that rate it would take a couple months before I'd have to reset the time, vs. resetting my mechanicals about 1-2x /week. I wonder if someone's going to put out a mecha-quartz w/ a date complication?. I know some of the VK series have a date wheel, but it would be nice to have it in a simple 3-hander.
I just checked it again and it's 2 secs slow now. Never seen this before for sure. I have a $12 Sanda Tank. It's still within a minute after several months!
After a month or so, the watch seems to hold nominal time incredibly well even after this length of time but it can still vary by +/- 1s of the true time whenever I check it one day to the next. Strange!
What's up with the furry Muppet gloves 🤔 These gloves are a big distraction....they are literally hiding the watches you're displaying. Just some constructive criticism 👊🏽✌🏽
@@Geartown it took away from the presentation and I just wanted to share some constructive criticism. I'm not a hater or anything of the sort....there's plenty of room at the top....let's all win is my motto.
Hi! Do you think you could show the model/reference number of the models in an infobox or something of the sort? Cheers, great video.

No on the bracelet. The watch is nice, and I love its price. Thanks for the video.
Cookie monster!? Is that you???
Please give us links for EVERYTHING! 😊
I have a video coming on the bracelet, as well as most of the watches shown. Gotta make the most of that 11/11 splurge lol
do you think this would look good in a 6 inch / 16cm wrist ?
Show me that Rdunae!
It's coming up next! Easily one of the best impulse buys I've made
