Hi Sam, love your channel, you might be surprised to know I'm 63 years old, I own a R32 and yes it's a turbo, I also own a 35 badged Infinity, don't know much about the Infinity, my husband owns a hr31 gts coupe, and a Sylvia drift car, my daughter and my son drift, my daughter has been to Japan twice for drift practice, she will be there again this year with her boyfriend. You know Sam, I see all these S-Chassis' you say with low mileage lol. I got my 1992 180sx Type 3 with only 38,000 Kilometers. Verified! Picked it up for $12k here in the States.

I love theses vids gives perspective on how the price range varies so much between motors ... kinda ticks me off as as well as people like me with not alot of money who would love to own and appreciate ....would take a life time of saving to own but i guess that's what hit movies do (correct me if wrong) I'm currently looking to import to the uk in the next few years so this content is what I'm looking for love it

That was a lot better video then usual. The wider angle picture gave a better field of view and the stabilization made watching easier. Yes background sound was there but still could hear you easily and sometimea better then other videos.
I can highly recommend the gopro8. It is amazing and you could easily throw the media mod on if you wanted better sound. But I have found the mics on the gopro actually really good.
Anyways awesome video. Keep it up.
I appreciate the in depth view of the different options I enjoyed it alot. I'd say my favorite car there is the 4th white gtt skyline r34, simple and had a fair price tag on it for what it was

Finally! Someone who knows his cars!! I'm way over here in Yamaguchi ken, own a 35th Anniversary 350z, bought it ten years ago with 35k on the clock, now has 178k, and still going as strong as the day I bought it! Changed a few things over the years but still all stock! And those 白バイcops, once stopped me in the mountains over here for speeding (won't say how fast I was doing), and I was late for a wedding gig, all dressed in white, and he let me off, thinking I was the one getting married! Lol. Sadly the cops that clocked me at just 12kms over the limit last year, were not as nice! Great content, new sub here.

16:56 Sam, if you look underneath at the rear diff cover, the V-specs are finned whereas normal gtr's the diff casing is just normal alloy cast

one of the controversies about imports are the are sometimes stolen cars from Japan. They get stolen and then sent overseas to avoid getting caught.

The NA is an old series 1, the TT looks to be a much later model. I couldn't tell what year it was, but it has all of the late model stuff on it. Updated lights, updated aero.
A nice 1999-2000 model is easily over 20k, which would explain that pricing there.

Were either of the Laurels Manual converted? Also they only came with neo motors but sorta based on the R33. They use S14/S15 suspension but R33 pedals and handbrake bolt up when manual converted as they only came auto
The go pro had a good image also when at the track drifting have you considered a follow me drone for cool aerial shots

The "this was my video game dream car" tax is REAL here in the states. Some of these freshly imported JDM cars are ridiculously overpriced. Honestly a lot of them are priced completely out of the average enthusiasts budget. I follow a couple of JDM Importers in the states here on instagram, and there are MANY of them still sitting on multiple (and I mean multiple) R32/R33, GTSTs and GTRs, because the prices they are asking are NUTS. 100k mile+ R33 GTSTs for 22-25k USD. You see them always posting "WE STILL HAVE THIS BAD BOY FOR SALE" (months later) ALL the time. A lot of people that seem to he buying them are wealthy collectors who want an "appreciating asset." Most of us 9-5 job middle class enthusiasts can't afford a 42,000 dollar R32 GTR or a 18k R32 GTST with 130k miles. The 90/00s video game/initial D tax is real for us stateside. Lol
Same in Europe. 200sx used to go for like 2k now its like 6k for the cheapest ones.. Drift tax nfs tax and fnf. And wooalaa 6k.
@@TheJanis1993 I got offered one about 2 years ago, low miles but it was an auto and stock. Some old lady was driving about in it as a daily, she wanted £1500 but it was too rusty for me, wish I had got it to flip

that cam was really good and i think you did'nt have to speak as loudly but :) and its a go-pro 7 it just works but they do get studering tho from waat i hear but they are diehards when you need a working cam :) with many attachments anyways love your channel man your living the dream and just look forward man don't let life's speed-bumps in life get you down just keep on moving :)
p.s. i think you can put a fur-ball /w mic not tottaly sure tho >.>

@@fraided88 exactly + you can buy adapters for bmw gearboxes so you don't require any custom driveshafts etc. Planning on dropping a sr20 ink my e36.

Cars in Japan is a lot cheaper than in Malaysia. A modified r34 gtt can easily get up to RM100,000 which is $2400 or more and a GTR can fetch up anywhere from RM300,000 ($72,000) to RM400,000 ($96,000) with around 100,000km

Prices seem pretty high. I’ve got my 180sx up for 16k aud and there are plenty of r33 gts-t from around 6k to 10k. Australia prices are actually pretty good by the looks of it 👌🏽
J R Agreed. These are nice clean looking cars but really pricey, probably due to their close proximity to the American military bases. I see pretty much all of these around the Tokyo/Kanagawa area for at least 20-30% less than that all the time.

Japan is always going to rise more than Aus with so many countries wanting to import from there.
Yeah aus is pretty cheap for cars, I always see aus drifters sliding about in rare and expensive cars. I saw a 70s celica mk1 for like 6k AUD when in England they're £15k for the same car, I'm surprised more people don't import from aus as a lot of their cars are basically jdm models but there isn't the language barrier

Japanese cars are hard to impossible to get after 10 years from
their introduction they receive some devaluation compared to
euro brands who supply at most spares cheaper & for about 20+
years. Except Ford who ppl know its trash, and except the expensive.
