Did you ever racing against the apex racers, especially that "Misa" who plays the purple fox? I'm telling you, those apex racers are always extremely challenging.
Nintendo took the best decision in going this direction for this franchise. What old 30 and 40 year old fzero fanboys dont understand, is that nobody wants single player racing game, nor a futuristic foemula 1 death racer with only a few cars racing each other online. This game hits the spot because it feels real. This is how a race would go down in the fictional fzero universe. 100s of cars, driven by real people, racing to the death
Yep, great decision by Nintendo. I’m loving the game! Hopefully they keep this game available for a long time and release new content for it.
Äh yes, I want a single-player game because I'm old. I'm not in the mood to race against other humans all the time. Give us old fanboys a god damm Fero GX remaster or make a new one. I want to suffer again in that brutal difficulty racer that gave me the best moments of Joi after beating it since... well ever.

Nowadays, we have 75% of bots and just PRO players on it. They don't match skill and this is really boring. I'm with 8h of gameplay, level 30 and A+ rank, discover this FZ99 2 weeks ago, and just 1 win with Foxx. Unfortunately, this game will die soon. I just want all collectibles, and that's it for me.
4:30 You're wrong about knock-outs. The way it works is if you knock out a grey car, you get a little bit of health back, plus a bigger health bar. If you knock out another player, your health bar gets completely refilled. It doesn't matter how you knock them out. Also, the max you knock someone out to increase your health bar is 7. Any more, and you just recover health, not get bigger bars.
There is something uniquely awesome about winning races in F-Zero 99 against so many other players! Have any other tips to beat the competition?
Depends on the machine. I am an all-rounder and very good at the game. Skill rating of S21 and just supassed 105 wins yesterday. And am 3 customizations away from 100% the game.
Do you use dpad or joystick?
I find that the 99 racer tracks and cars seem slower than the classic races, I only ever do classic races consistently.
A different game from what I knew
F-Zero 99 just released for free on Nintendo Switch. It takes all the awesome gameplay from the Super Nintendo game and meshes it with online multiplayer with 99 opponents!
