Great job Andrew. Thanks for sharing your project, as I own a '51 pony, I have been saving your videos as reference material someday if I need to do some repairs.

The continental engine can be repaired by using a "ridge reamer" on the top of the engine.
Then push pistons up until the rod hits the bottom of the block.
Take the rings off the pistons then drop the rods and pistons out the bottom of the block.
If the ridge you have cut off the top inside of the bore is tiny you can get several years of tractor life buy just barely wiping the bore out with a hone mounted in a drill.
Remember less is better. Just barely wipe it out to remove any polish/ glaze look.
Push the bare rings into the block and measure the end gap at 3 places near the top near the bottom and about mid stroke.
I don't know the requirements for ring gap on your engine.
Then replace rod bearings and insert the rods in the same holes each came out of and face them in the original direction.
Slide the rods and pistons up the bores and install the rings from the topside of the engine.
Next use a ring compressor to squish the rings closed and tap on the pistons tops to push them down into the block.
If it takes more than a few taps with a wood or plastic hammer HANDLE you did something wrong.
    RECHECK.
    Now after writing this book.
IF you can find new pistons rings etc and you can afford a trip to the machine shop do it.
($$ yes it will hurt $$).
    Your children will appreciate it.
Rebuild the carb and electrical tune up and you will cuss a lot less on a cold start day.

@monice46 I just got the bottom end rebuilt, with a polished crank and new main & rod bearings. Now I'm going to hone the cylinder walls and get new rings. Then a gasket and seal set, and the engine will be done.

I got it for free from fixing a friend's dump truck. That's not the original engine in this video. The original engine was damaged beyond repair, so I bought this engine.
