Niagara is one of those border ironies. The US is typically portrayed as shamelessly commercial and tacky....yet at Niagara the US falls is a very tasteful lawned parks, but Niagara in Canada is a row of amusement attractions, minigolf, souvenir shops and commercial cafes looking over the Falls. It has a Gatlinburg TN feel.
@@inkspec2.022 the NY city is, but the city is not at the Falls. Not even in sight of them. If you move back from the falls on the canada side you also get that old rustbelt industrial factory look with thousands of recent immigrants in low income housing filling the vacuum of gentry flight. The Canadian strip along the hill overlooking the Falls is very carny looking, very commercial, lots of ads and lighted signs but clean. I tend to prefer the parkland side, but if I was into bar crawls, Ripleys, T shirts and bowling...then Canada is the best bet.
Both sides were like the Canadian side 75 years ago but the leaders on the american side thought all the tourist stuff was tacky and force them to close with some urban renewals and bulldozed their tacky tourist attractions. The results was they they destroyed their tax base since the tacky stuff was generating a lot of taxes which the new stuff never did. the city has since turned into a decayed slum and a wasteland. the Canadian side rightly decided not to destroy themselves and NF Ontario is thriving as a results.
Enjoyed the video as always! That is the most amazing and coolest carousel that I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing little Canada ! Keep up the awesome work. Have a great weekend.
The Little Rock Zoo over here in Arkansas has a real cool carousel. It’s called “over the jumps” (or something along those lines) instead of the horses going up and down on the poles, the floor goes over hills and valleys.
I’ve lived all my life in a city named vaughn(only 15 mins from Markham) and it’s so great to see you enjoying some of the un heard off attractions like the pride of Canada carousel in my area. Have fun carpet bagger!
some how I missed out on your live show. I was so bummed out but seeing this episode made me so so happy what a great idea to get a mini me of yourself and be placed in little Canada So amazing to get to see you there!!!😮😅😅😅😊
Come back to Santa Cruz and Monterey. There's a pit stop near Hollister CA called Casa de Fruita farmers market that has this big 2 story 100 yr old carousel.
OKC has two carousels that I know of: a typical "classic" one at Frontier City amusement park and one at the OKC Zoo that features endangered species like the mountain gorilla, okapi, river otter, etc.
LOVED seeing this “Little Canada” exhibit. How wonderful to see the Little Carpetbagger in front of Ripley’s Believe It or Not attraction on Clifton Hill! 😀 👍
Hearing all the gears moving is awesome. Not planned for this but putting the camera on the base boards picked up all the cool sounds of gears moving in the carousel.
This Carousel is super unique I love it! I think my favorite carousel (although I’m not 100% sure if it really counts as one) is the Cedar Downs at Cedar Point. It’s just a fun ride!
Love your videos, Jacob. As a model train buff (and miniatures enthusiast), I have to say the Tiny Canada museum is so very cool! Canada is such a marvelous and beautiful country... it's great to see you touring there!
The Children's Museum of Memphis has the old Liberty Land Carousel, bad thing is you have to call if you're a single adult and make an appointment to see and ride it.
Definitely one of the top three carousels that you've shared with us. So much detail was in each piece, you could ride it 100 times and discover something new each time! 🎠🇨🇦🍁⛷️📞🦌 Your miniature is so cool as well. 😎A creativity packed video for sure!
>>> EXCELLENY ZVideo Jacob ! ---- That FOUND ART Carousel was a MASTER PIECE ! !! - -- Now THAT was a very fun thing to look at for a while ! ---- wow ----- so nicely done ! ---- Thank you for goin here ! ----- The Tiny Canada was also amayzing ! ----- Your cute little self sranding by the road side ..... love it --
Port Dalhousie on the shores of Lake Ontario closer to Niagara Falls, ON side. Has a verrry old hand carved, carousel going back to 1898 and it still in use today. I went once and I think it was 5 cents to ride it.
My name is Isabella and my parents and I watch your channel all the time! Thank you for brightening our days. We would love to invite you to come see one of the oldest carousels in the country in Albion Pennsylvania. I think you would like it not only for it’s historical significance but it’s got really cool and detailed creatures you could ride! You could come during the Albion Area Fair September 12-17, ( one of the best small town fairs around) or anytime you are available. Let us know, we would love to meet up with you and show you around! Thanks again for all you do😊
There's an old carousel at the botanical gardens in Wichita, Kansas. It used to belong at an old amusement park called joyland before it closed. Adam the woo did a video of the abandoned park years ago. I would check out the botanical gardens during Halloween or Christmas season.
If you go up in the tower there is a rotating restaurant you can eat in up there. As you sit there are plaques around the outer part that doesn't rotate so it lines up with what you're seeing. It used to have a dark ride in the basement arcade and even go karts strangely enough. Still worth a visit though you'll enjoy it.
Welcome to Markham! I lived in Markham for a little while as a kid then moved to the city of Vaughn where Canada's wonderland is Also there a BBQ chicken wings place called duffs wings in Toronto it goooood wings
King Arthur's Carousel at Disneyland was made by the Dentzel Carousel Company in Philadelphia, PA in 1922 and was located at Sunnyside Beach Park (aka Sunnyside Amusement Park) in Toronto, ONT, Canada from1922 until the park closed in 1954. It was then purchased by Disney, the menagerie animals (giraffes, etc) were replaced with other antique horses, and the carousel was an opening day attraction at Disneyland in 1955.
Carpetbagger you need to come to Burlington nc we have a local small city park that has a train and a very old carousel from like the 1900s we have a Denzel carousel here in Burlington and it was just redone and refinished
Yes yes ! You need to take a trip up the CN tower. There is a glass elevator and everything. There is also glass floors and the view is just stunning at night.
We just got back from a Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN trip. We passed by the fiberglass dragon off of I-75 near Caryville, and my wife pointed out that we had seen it in one of your videos not that long ago.
Also, the Philadelphia Toboggan Company's #84 (built in 1928 for Palisades Amusement Park) now resides at Canada's Wonderland (they also have a "kiddie carousel")
That has to be one of the best carousels I've ever seen 😍 I absolutely love it. That entire thing is a work of art. You don't see too many modernized carousels but they really were able to pull this off. A job well done 🙂
Love the carousel and Little Canada looked fun though I felt like they pinched the idea from Miniatur Wunderland here in Germany. ;) Now that is somewhere you should visit if you ever make it over to Europe.
“Hey, you all!” from Jacob always brightens my mood in the morning. Also, it’s always fun to see little Jake at Little Canada. 😊😊
We need little Carpetbaggers in the Etsy shop. And some Carpetbagger Mold-A-Ramas! Another great video. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

America needs to up their Niagara game
For real! The American side is just sad and gloomy

Hey Jacob, have you and Jen ever watched the show Wonderfalls? I think you would enjoy it.

Perfect place for Little Carpetbagger in front of a Ripleys.
Excellent artistic carousel and I like the Little Carpetbagger.
That's Definitely one of The Most Unique and Original Carousels. Happy Travels 😊
Come back to Santa Cruz and Monterey. There's a pit stop near Hollister CA called Casa de Fruita farmers market that has this big 2 story 100 yr old carousel.
SALMON ENCHANTED EVENING. LOVED THE CAROUSEL.
Seems fitting that mini-Jacob was planted right outside the Ripley's building. 😀
I hope they make a miniature Sunnyvale Trailer Park!
Imagine a little drunk lahey driving across the road 😆
With tiny liquor bottles!
you should visit Space Farms Zoo & museum in beemerville,nj
How cool that there is a “Little Jacob” as a part of this display!!
Gotta say that Carousel was the most creative one I've seen to date. Very Original.
This is honestly possibly the coolest carousel. I love how unique each one is. The skull car especially!!!
Quebec City for winter carnival in February is fantastic. I went with a group of friends in the 90's and had a blast. It was cold but so much fun.
Jake, I knew you would have to ride the giant moose.... some things are just a given
Great thumbnail carpetbagger, they keep getting better and better🎉
I LOVE THE JUNK CAROUSEL!!!!! AND I LOVE HOW IN THE SKI LIFT HOW YOU CAN HEAR THE SOUNDS AND IT SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD FASHIONED SKI LIFT 😂.
That is the coolest carousel I have ever seen. A lot of others have cool ride features, but this just takes the art to a whole other level.
OKC has two carousels that I know of: a typical "classic" one at Frontier City amusement park and one at the OKC Zoo that features endangered species like the mountain gorilla, okapi, river otter, etc.
Hi Jacob 👋😊 thanks for sharing and good morning 🌞 stay safe.🤓✌️📸
The carousel was so unique and awesome!!!
LOVED seeing this “Little Canada” exhibit. How wonderful to see the Little Carpetbagger in front of Ripley’s Believe It or Not attraction on Clifton Hill! 😀 👍
That carousel is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Gives me Eric Carle vibes. 😎

Yay! I was looking forward to you going back and finding mini you. They really did put you in the perfect spot.
That Blue Jay baseball player statue looks like one of Peggy Hill's Probots from King of the Hill lol

Logansport Indiana, near Indiana Beach has a “catch the brass ring” carousel ❤
I was expecting little carpetbagger to be riding a pretzel drake ride. But Ripley's was a close second
That is so cool there is a "mini you" in Little Canada!!! 😊
If you go up in the tower there is a rotating restaurant you can eat in up there. As you sit there are plaques around the outer part that doesn't rotate so it lines up with what you're seeing. Another carousel to check out is in downtown Cincinnati called Carol Ann’s Carousel. It’s located near the Ohio River.
Good Morning Jacob 🙋🏽

Welcome back to Canada Jacob 😊. Happy your back. Maybe one day you can visit Edmonton and our famous mall West Edmonton Mall. Check it out online
That carousel is really cool. Great video.
Yes yes ! You need to take a trip up the CN tower. There is a glass elevator and everything. There is also glass floors and the view is just stunning at night.
Skylon Tower at the falls is cool and good food for brunch!!
My favorite carousel character on that ride is the Volkswagen bus! But they are all great,
We just got back from a Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN trip. We passed by the fiberglass dragon off of I-75 near Caryville, and my wife pointed out that we had seen it in one of your videos not that long ago.

The front of the little red car 🚗 looks a little like a funny skull 💀

it's so crazy to meet the small jacob model or have a miniature size of jacob the carpetbagger.
i want one of myself.
Love the carousel and Little Canada looked fun though I felt like they pinched the idea from Miniatur Wunderland here in Germany. ;) Now that is somewhere you should visit if you ever make it over to Europe.
You 100% need to come to the East Coast of Canada..so much incredible stuff to do here!!
I’m disappointed you didn’t showcase the sailboat
Come to a Phillies game here in Philadelphia Jacob! So much to see and do in our great city.
I like it when you to different location's
