I would say that this was a very successful experiment! Ha ha about the cat hair, I imagine you get quite a few of those sometimes. 😸 Thanks for sharing!
That's a clever method. Thanks for sharing! I have a deer foot brush that would probably be great for dry brushing the pastel pencil. Definitely gonna have to try this!
Such a cute idea... Question, do you find that the pastel will rub off your painting, say if it were left in a sketch book? If so, are you sealing your work in some way? I've done something similar to this, with a very small, dry, stippling brush and acrylic or gouache alone with no pastel... I gently dab the paint in, and then tap my finger over top of it to soften it further. But the pastel leaves a very nice soft effect all on its own. I like it.
Clever. I think this would also be useful for haze around the moon etc. I did wonder how you got that glow, it just looked so good.
Thanks for sharing, Eve!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. Hi to the kitties.
Thank you! I will give them pets for you ;)
I Loved this. I’d really love to see a full tutorial with the kitties and landscape one day ?🖤. I have many cats so I expect a lot of cat hairs 😹😹🐾🐾
