So i guess after changing it for the first time after that maybe around 5k miles later change the oil again and change the filter in the transmission for a complete change?

You are supposed to put a paperclip in OBD port to put into maintenance mode. You must drain the fluid at correct temperature due to thermal expansion.

Toyota does not recommend replacing Toyota brand CVT transmission fluid except for taxis or other high use vehicule.
But if you want your car's transmission to run longer, you should change its oil and filter

What part are you asking about?
Magnets are for metal particulates from normal wear and tear of cvt they are important for proper function.
Magnets are to collect metal debris, so it won't go into your Trans

Does changing 2.9 qts out of 7.9 qts help??? Some Toyota dealers advise not to. This is why no one likes these CVT's except the manufacturer, they are cheaper than the old 4 speed.

Hi sir. Is cvt fe and cvt tc just the same? They put cvt tc on my cvt trans which the filling bolt cover also showing FE. Please let me know if its just ok
Toyota CVT-FE is also available and is recommended for colder areas with temperatures that continuously remain below zero centigrade. It is less sheer stable than CVT-TC but may give slightly better fuel economy which is hardly noticeable.

If I have 121,000 miles on my car and I have flush the system out. I know now it’s not best to do it but can I simply drain the oil and fill it back up and the car will be ok with that?

they do not clean the filter and neither does the material left inside the lid and magnets
The next transmission service will replace the filter and clean the magnet so cleaning and reinstalling the filter does no good.

You should check the gear oil etc. of your car and if it is fine then change its gear filter and converter

If the transmission oil level is correct then the oil does not come out of the breather cup. You should first check the oil level, if the oil level is correct then change the O Ring of the breather cup.

And this is how to destroy your transmission.. If the oil level is not correct expect shorter life for your transmission, if high, it will expand and destroy seals, if low it will deteriorate faster. Use the temperature gauge or don't touch the transmission oil. 39 - 42 Celsius.

The procedure shown is not correct. For CVT transmission K313, temperature on which level of fluid needs to be corrected is 35C to 45C, this is as per OEM manual. You can do this by putting the car in temperature correction mode or diagnostic mode.

Measure what comes out and replace with same quantity. Works for me every time
