Imagine just mining along and then realizing JAKEL33T is in the belt too, filming an episode.
Ice products + Planetary Interactions = Station Fuel, which can be quite lucrative. So while Ice by itself isn't that great, the products used can really bring up your returns.
Try running the clients with the DX12 box unchecked. It helps mostly on CPU usage/occasional stutter. Ive been running eve 4k 60hz with a 1080ti and now a RTX4070

Don't need two screens. You can ALT+TAB between your alts. I use EVE-O Preview.

Tbh I always go with a DC2, even in high sec since it's so much ehp for one module. Call me paranoid but if you upgrade to Ore harv's you become a big target.

Dont gankers target your orca?
You see it on the killboards regularly, then consider how many orcas are out there on the field. It's rare that you will get targeted.
Getting ganged means you are getting scouted first. So it means getting off the field the moment you see a large fleet come in. Chances are they need to find the belt you are in and then tackle you down. Hopefully by then you have gotten into warp before they find you. Finally, he wasn't at warp in and is far away from rocks, giving you more time to get away if they warp in.
