Full court sprints but they get increasingly faster

- To calculate the players’ speeds in miles per hour (MPH), I used the following method: First, I measured the distance the player ran using a court distance calculator, starting from the beginning of their sprint and ending at the end of their sprint. Then, I timed their sprint using a stopwatch. By dividing the distance by the time, I obtained the speed in feet per second, which I then converted to MPH.

A 7'1 325 pound man running that fast is diabolical bro, Shaq is crazy
1 of 1 athlete. Will probably never see another one

When did shaq’s clip happen?
Same pfp bro

Ben Simmons career was one the oddest sport careers I've witnessed.
Passing out of a wide open layup with Trae being the closest defender broke him
it's like he didn't wanna play anymore 🤷
Incredible talent but the work ethic wasn’t there
He peaked his 1st and 2nd year then just got worse from there. Normal you go from the bottom of the bench to all nba not the other way around before turning 25
Why are you guys talking in the past tense?
John Wall makes you forget how big an NBA court is. But Westbrook seems like he's just powering up the whole break. My two favorites
john walls finishing at speed was absurd
Westbrook had another gear nobody could match
@@CrazyhorrseI don’t watch basketball like that, but watching Westbrook drive with the ball is 🔥 , reminds me of Mbappe the way he explodes
@@FabDino
John Wall maintained finesse that no one else has at those speeds. Westbrook just uses the momentum to jump 40+ inches over anyone who tries to block his dunk, no finesse needed. Derrick Rose was a perfect blend of both before abandoning his athletic abilities for a more grounded style after his second major injury.
Westbrook crowned the most expensive player ever for a reason. As a kid he ran up sand dunes for hours working on his explosiveness.
D. Rose running 18 mph after those injuries is insane!
my first thought too i thought id see alot more rookie year d rose highlights
the injuries fucked his acceleration and agility. Im quite sure his speed wasnt too affected by the injuries
Its probably not actually 18 mph. They just made up those numbers
@@blablablaa14I’m thinking the same thing I don’t think these speeds are actually being tracked accurately in this video but post injury Rose was still blazing fast. I think his jumping was affected most.
@@369pendulumthey aren’t being tracked, and NBA court is 94 feet (I think). Speed=Distsnce/time. We now the distance, and we can measure the time from baseline to baseline, this in probably how he’s calculating the speed. That’s why it says “average”. If you covered the court in 3 seconds, you’d be going roughly 30ft per second, or about 21 mph. They cover it in about 3.5 on every clip, which is right around 17 mph. It’s probably not super accurate, but it gives an idea.
D Rose making that basket between Bron and Wade is just sorcery. No one should be able to make that shot.
John wall was an absolute beast in transition
I knew the Russ headband coast to coast would be the #1 but damn that was such a crazy play. He out ran or jumped over every 76er on the court.
that might be my favorite dunk of all time
Yeah I remember that. Brodie with that mask was different that season!
“He’s gonna go at Aaron Brooks, he wasn’t doing that when Derrick Rose was in the game!” 😂

😂
1-on-1 ISO possessions but they get increasingly longer.
That would be a lot of Harden plays.
6:34 I like that that Spurs commentator has been saying "Oh, mama!" since before Wemby got there, and it just happened that his name fit perfectly with it 😂
i was thinking exactly the same hahahaha
back when he used to say "OHHHHH MAMA, KAWOW" for kawhi leonard. nostalgia
It is destiny
oh mama wembanyama
You must be a casual. That's Bill Schoening, spurs voice for 20+ years lol. And 'oh, mama' is his signature call. Calling thats since tim duncan days lol
john wall being able to rap the ball around like that while going full speed and still being able to take off to throw it down is highly underrated
Yeah, that was ridiculous
He’s honestly not appreciated enough that was insane he took off far as hell
Now this is what they mean by 'fast' breaks
I swear Iverson had to be faster than most of these dudes.
First stint Cleveland Lebron was unreal. 260 lbs and just like a cheetah
that one video of bron and a cheetah racing 😂
Um, no, a cheetah can cover 60 yards in 3 seconds. Not even close.
@@matthewmangum6320 "Um, no, a cheetah can cover 60 yards in 3 seconds. Not even close." 🤓🤓🤓
Heat Bron was an athletic god too
LeBron wasn't 260 until the Heat. But on the Heat, he peaked at 271 lbs before a game.
I will never get tired of watching Russ go coast to coast
yep. the rim, however, is prob grateful those days are over
Night in night out Westbook was the fastest burst down the court you'll ever see. Maybe the most explosive NBA player ever in his prime.
lol he was not faster than rose I can promise you that
Hesi's, but they get increasingly unstoppable!
Prime Russ and Wall transition is a fun thing to watch
Gotta say it makes me strangely happy to see post-injury DRose so high up.
Shots but they get increasingly further behind the backboard
please yes

crazy bait LMAO
he slow bruh
@@bredofoats guess he's not the only one that's slow :)
I knew Ish Smith was coming dude, if there's one thing he can do, it's RUN
lol and then the last vid of the video is westbrook blowing by him
Just how he was ran through by every organization he played for
@@kralebdudeyeah because he was peddling backwards lmao. I could blow by someone with a basketball too if someone was back peddling
John wall was so good man. 3 straight times he was faster than the last 😂
Chuck was incredible
Yep, watch his one appearance here, he gets the ball, starts out in a crowd, blows by them all and slams it. That is no one time highlight, what you are not seeing is that he would do this over and over and over again in a game. Like a speeding freight train that couldn’t be stopped.
There’s no way that MJ clip was faster than Rose and John Wall
That John Wall, Westbrook, D.Rose era was tough. I used to love going coast to coast because of those guys.
Man, John Wall has had some incredible plays over the years
John Wall was so special man these kids have to know!
Prime russ was so fucking fast
I saw the title and thought of John Wall. I remember watching him blow by defenders that were already ahead of him

Crazy to think that some of these big guys runs faster than smaller guys just shows how great their athleticism
Westbrook might be the most athletic point guard we’ve seen to
Date
been watching for over 35 years and hes the best pure athlete ive ever seen on the court. I was next to him at a bar once and hes every bit of 6'5" and shoulders looked 4 ft wide. I wonder what he would have been like as an NFL WR or TE, prob faster than Moss too.
@@Crazyhorrsenot faster than Randy moss dude you can give props without being hyperbolic
@@Crazyhorrseand 35 best pure athlete you’ve seen on the court huh? That means you were alive to watch Jordan, shaq, lebron, and many more and he’s not more athletic than those 3
@@Nocing Jordan has a better vert, prob better long and broad jump too not by much. I doubt there's another athletic test he could beat Russ in from shuttle runs to 100m sprint. Now skills is another story, and you might be confusing skills with athleticism. Lebron could be him at getting shut down in the entire series of an NBA finals by a 6'1 guard off the bench and getting outscored by the same guy against Dallas. Le bum does have that on lockdown.
I'd argue Ja now
0:45 I can watch an hour of Steve Nash sprinting, so smooth and effortless with great form. His football background paid off
I still can’t believe he’s just barely faster than Charles Barkley sprinting with ball
there was a full-court sprint by patty mills that was absolutely crazy (man was a sprinter in high school in australia), but that was on defense after a turnover and this video looks more like it's highlighting ballhandlers.
Did they upload wilts or Bill Russell's full court prints.? They were pretty phenomenal
I knew Wall & Fox would be on here a few times but Ben Simmons surprised me
bro is the fastest 6'10 or up you could ever watch
Russ speed with ball in his prime is wild. No one's gonna stop him with that speed.
Giannis moving that fast as a 7 footer with ball handles is insane
Wow great vids!
The fact that there is no Darren Collison is a shame. One of if not the quickest player to ever go coast to coast on a regular basis. He and Barbosa were impossible to beat on the break in the 2000s, imagine if they had the take foul then, those guys contracts would’ve increased significantly
Barbosa was a speed demon, especially with Mike D'Antoni's fastball offense.
I knew Ty Lawson would be on here at least once, super underrated. Used to go coast to coast several times a game at UNC.
Barkley’s fast-break was awesome
You could ask me in a 100 lifetimes but I wouldn’t have thought of ish smith to be one of the fastest players in the NBA
He's known for it.
Some people don’t look fast on camera it’s trippy
Players flopping but they get more cartoonish
That MJ dunk shows the gather step has existed since then, just not exploited as much as they do today.
Giannis is crazy 😅
this channel deserves 5x the viewership and i'm not exaggerating. this work is fantastic
John Wall, greatest "What-If's" 😩
Greatest video of all time.
As soon as I saw the mph counter I knew ish smith was as gonna be in this I love ish smith so much
Wall, Rose, Westbrook and Fox fast as hell. I forgot how quick Wade was too aka The Flash.
2008 Olympic Wade might be the fastest player I've ever seen
I don’t watch basketball but I watch all the Cosh Report videos, the titles of the video get me every time lol
Young D Rose’s speed and explosiveness was incredibly, dude was speed blitzing on the second to last clip
3:45 back when Bron used to do that tomahawk, full speed, absolutely zero expression on his face. It was nothing to him 😂
That first dunk was powerful
That last westbrook highlight is one of my favorites from him 🔥🔥 dude ran faster than ish smith with the ball
Honorable mention for Tyus Edney going coast to Coast in the NCAA tournament and hitting the game winner
Ish Smith Still has wheels great seeing him in this highlight reel
I was expecting more Ish Smith clips ngl, that dude got speed
I was honestly expecting a Muggsy Bogues play to be the final clip
Need to bring back the “If you don’t like that, you don’t like NBA basketball” classic line
DWADE was just so smooth running the fastbreak
So many of these end with crazy travels lol
That first greek freak 1 man fast break and dunk was DIABOLICAL
Chuck the only one who didn’t have me nervous on the landing 😅
Y’all sleep on ish smith🔥😂😂
That Westbrook play is so impressive. Off the inbound with three defenders in the backcourt in the first quarter.
Ben Simmons so fast when he was at his prime. Man I miss him duo with Embiid man
That last Russ play is crazy because he runs past ish smith who is in this video a few times himself…blazing fast
My favorite clip on this video was the John Wall masterpiece.
But I think my favorite "speed dunker" with a side of "SukMaD¡kMF!" is Westbrook 😂
the last one is the first play that popped into my head reading the title lol russ was insanely athletic at his peak. still a great athlete but doesn't have the aggression anymore
The fact that Dwade had an average speed of 16 mph on the one at 4 minutes when he spent half of it in basically a jog is crazy. Then he one upped it and did it again except at nearly 18 mph while noticeably decelerating at around the 3. Flash indeed.
As someone who grew up watching the Phoenix Suns from 2003-2010, how fast was Leandro Barbosa? He was nicknamed, "The Brazilian Blur" because of his speed. I remember hearing the commentators say that Barbosa was the fastest person in the NBA during his time.
The fact D.Rose has the second fastest time after a double knee injury is godly. There will never be another D.Rose.
Who remember fox coast to coast dunk in okc his rookie year
Impressive how little amount of dribbling is needed when youre that fast
7:18 seeing Rondo on the Bulls and Rose on the Knicks as someone who watched NBA in 2008-2013 is crazy. Those 2 along with Westbrook and Wall were the fastest on ball handlers
I knew Russell would be on here multiple times
Ty Lawson easily one of the fastest with the basketball in his hands very underrated in the Top Speed Conversation
Before watching the video... I would assume Kenny "The Jet" Smith would take the gold by the end of the video
He didn't cause he didn't run through the tape
If i seen big ass shaq running towards me fullspeed i will get out the way too 😂😂
0:37 Just get outta the way man you aren’t stopping that
I was pretty sure Wall, Drose and Westbrook will be here and close to the top, those three took the athletic point guard to another level.
Ish Smith was a surprise for me and I didnt realise Fox is this fast with thr ball.
Can someone tell me what the name of the outro music is?
Prime westbrook is a beast man i can still remember how he ran and dunk on three people bigger than him sprinting from the other side of the court
Haven’t watched it yet, but hope DRose’s 3 dribble from across the floor is in here (Olympics)
I knew that masked Westbrook clip was gonna be here. Didn't know it would be number 1.
damn dwade 3 dribbles across the court
All of this so reminds me of myself.
0:34 - That Barkley clip was WILD. Y'all have NO IDEA how much of a MANIACAL PHENOM Barkley was. He was 6'4", banging with 7-footers.
I thought I'd see pigs fly before witnessing Chuck run like that 😂
5:16 Maaaaaan! The way DRose disrespected James and Wade with that layup. 🔥
F*ck ACL injuries! They robbed us of DRose's prime. 😤
