Lots of the songs on the album are collabs, for example, this song was co-written by Max, another song was with Taka and Toro from One Okay Rock, etc., which argues against much of the work being done before discharge. And he's done a ton more work since then--his initial live stream with ARMY was done right away that very day (he was still in uniform), then dinner with the rest of BTS, then recording Super Tuna that night at midnight so it could be used the next day at Festa, which he first rehearsed, then did the fan meet and hug event, then set off for a cooking reality show gig (the Half-Star Hotel, travel and staying on a tiny island for at least a couple of days), back to film a trip and hike on Jegu Island which was the first of his 11 episodes of Run Jin, his own reality show; he carried the Olympic torch in Paris, did shoots and trips for his House Fred and Gucci endorsements, recorded the album (JK recorded one song per day for Golden, but Taehyung needed 3 days per song for Layover, assume that Jin's in the middle and you are still talking a couple of weeks there), shot the video for Super Tuna, shot the 3 videos we've already seen for I'll be There, plus who know how many more for the rest of the album, plus driving 3+ hours to greet Hobi and then back again--does the man never sleep?
Jin was chomping at the bit to perform for army's, he couldn't wait, I think he squeezed in a family vacation while he was working? Living with Min Yoongi all those years had to pay off somehow, they were roommates for 6 years, he watched Yoongi work and learned from him.
