Ahhhhhh she is finally here, the new flanker from Viktor and Rolf and we have here GOOD FORTUNE ELIXIR INTENSE. Described as a woody amber perfume, totally the opposite from the original which is a soft sweet floral scent but is this better or worse? Let's gossip about this baddie.

I love the original one so I am definitely checking this one out. Sounds interesting.
I don’t like the original but I am intrigued with this one. The bottle, dark juice, everything is witchy and I love that.
I’m not blind buying anything that I can wait to test in stores eventually. But I am excited to try it out. I’m always excited to try new releases.

Great review, thanks! I am wearing the perfume as I write, as it's available here in the UK. I wanted to compare notes and you are the only person I found who reviewed it already 😊. I agree with you, it's beautiful, like honeyed jasmine & delicious vanilla, I guess my next purchase when the price gets down a bit, or smaller bottle is available.

The original had genetian fennel in there making it smell like licorice on top. Does this one have that smell?
Yes. Somewhat. If you mean a spicy earthy vibe than yes. It’s there. It ALMOST smells like tobacco but veryyyyy minimal. When I take a deep sniff I can smell the smoky in this but it’s faint. The dry down is sweet and woody. Earthy.

I hate tuberose as well but this one smells good. The jasmine note fades away
Is it worth a buy if you have the first one?
In my personal opinion, YES. This one is a lot more darker and smokier, so if you're into that go for it.
The bottle is just so cute. Need to try this one before blind buying
